I don't drive but I would love to learn. Does anyone know if this is helpful in anyway because there is so much stuff out there, I don't want to waste my money.

Heat will be added cos it seems like a decent price :-) xx
#2
I passed my theory using this, its by far the best practice dvd out there, really well put together.

For 6 quid you cant complain. Even if its not great, any practice is good practice........
#4
CD Roms help loads more than reading any book, I would recommend it!
#5
Thanks for the advice :-) xx
#6
thanks, just ordered for the girlfriend :-)
#7
I paid £8 for it few weeks ago, so best price so far. Even next year when 09-10 version will come out the DVD will cost the same - £6.
#8
Paid £6 for the 07/08 version a couple of months back and passed 100%. Great deal.

It's fairly useful, I used it to pass, none of the hazard perception DVD's are quite like the test centre version, but they do get you into the swing of appropriate 'clicking'.

The multiple choice questions for revision are fine. I've passed on this posting/recommmendation to someone who has just had the first lesson, so thanks to the poster.

I got this for £4 in my local Tesco a couple of weeks ago. Might be worth checking there first?
#11
If using quidco rather than direct link, be careful because the 07-08 one comes higher up the list on most searchers and you might end up popping that one in the basket instead!
#12
just ordered it thanks

ditto

cheers mate

Just passed my theory yesterday, woot! The hard bit was hazzard perception, make sure you get that right.

I used the official ones (£20! Almost killed me!), but I guess these ones will do also. Voted hot!
#15
I used this, its not quite as fast as using the online test from the DSA website but it is cheaper, plus there's no substitute for practicing Hazard Perception - which you'll need to do to get through the theory.

A good buy overall. I'd recommend it. Plus you can sell it on eBay when you've passed your test 8-)

I just passed my theory last week using this software.

The questions are worded similar to the actual DVLA test and i really like the way you can review the hazard perception videos after you've clicked because it shows you the limited window of opportunity to click to score 5,4,3,2,1 points.

I passed my theory with 48/50 multiple questions and 61/75 on the hazard. No doubt it's thanks to this DVD which is 7.8gb worth of information.

I thoroughly recommend this DVD, espeically at the price the OP posted.

Edit: The only thing i didn't like was how the hazard perception was grainy and you couldn't see what was coming/when to click for a 5 mark. However, once you review it, you realise your mistakes and prepare yourself in the future to look out for certain hazards further away such as on a countryside road - where you need to look ahead and click once you see a "white van" appear around the corner (5 marks).

One problem with this is that it's easy to spot a hazard before it lets you get any marks for it :(

Might be worth pricematching PCW with Tesco's (£7.something) on this.

I passed my theory first time using this, it's really good and very like the real thing, good price so heat added

I've seen this being sold in Aldi and I am sure that it's cheaper (around £5), but don't quote me on it.

PoundLand has some similar DVDs too (2 sort of)

Hi

It says PC...so its a CD Rom, not a DVD?

Also, I just passed my theory test recently, but will this help me for my practical, which I am not very confident.
#23
It's a DVD (7.98 GB of stuff on there iirc).

EDIT - It's a DVD but it goes in your PC

I learnt all the questions, and 90% of them popped up in my test... :)!

yet again I wish I hadn't ordered from The Hut!!!....should have gone with the other supplier that was posted. Ordered the same day this was posted.....should have been out for delivery on the 3rd...guess what....now "The Shut"....are going to check it out to see what the suppliers are doing....typical....
it's amazing how many times "The Shut" have done this now....

just visited the site, they're still claiming "usually dispatched within 4 days"....thats a laugh!

Got an email on the 5th saying order dispatched....but allow 10 days before contacting them in case it doesn't arrive.....

rubbish supplier...yet again....from now on its an immediate minus/cold for any posts concerning "The Shut":x

and as for how this post has achieved 300%....perhaps those who have posted could come back and tell us
1) When they ordered
2) when it was dispatched
3) when they received it
if you haven't ordered, if you haven't received it...don't create a situation where there is a "false" indication of how good this deal is....by voting "hot"....just because it may have looked good...
