 great price..

Got given a £5 off voucher out of the till at Tesco for this so I paid just under £13 for mine! Great way to store 100 books!

I saw it yellow labeled at ASDA for £14 today (probably instore only).

Buy an ebook reader, download them and more as they're freely available on the web since copyright's run out, save muling it for the rest of your life & save some trees.
#6
Connect your DS to your wifi (security must be turned off as it can't do security) and you can download an extra 10 books for free.

Nice idea in theory, but reading a book on a DS screen?

Besides, flashcart + homebrew text reader is cheaper, plus has more books (i.e. anything out-of-copyright you can get your hands on)

Have to agree - you can get a flash cart cheaper than this and use it legally with over 27000 books here :-

That site proved invaluable to me on a recent University project as it is all out of copyright.

Therein lies the rub....I would be willing to bet that not one person who bought this actually finishes reading any one book....

use your stylus to effortlessly turn the pages

This is such a relief - as these pages are normally such heavy b*****ds to turn.
#11
Watching the advert you only get a few lines a 'page' of the DS.
That's unreadable.
#12
why would you want to read all of that old tosh!

got this just after Christmas and borrowed the kids DS, I found it no problem with reading - each screen does only show about a dozen lines of text but have got through several books since I got it - I like it.

That's exactly what I thought!
What a bad way to sell itself.

didn't know about this on ds, more modern books would be nice
banned#18
haha still a great price if u don't have a flashcart
#19
I've got this game and despite my initial reservations its not actually that bad. In fact i prefer reading a book on the ds than i do on my friends sony reader. This is a great price for a decent idea.

Then pay for the original book? These are out of copyright now which is why they're on there for free. :P

Agree with you - very easy to use and read and the kids can't nick your bokmark and lose your page. And you can have more than one book on the go or more than one person reading from the same cartridge as there are 3 bookmarks you can use at the same time.

Have the "environMENTALists" worked out whats more friendly to the dear planet? producing a book by slaying trees and using ink or using polluting powerstations to power the DS??

I would have though that the tree huggers would have a prefered option

So I take it you're just here for trolling then? Yes, call people who are concerned about the state of the earth "mental" and "tree huggers", well done. Or.. just grow up.
