** CAN BE USED WITH DSLR's **
I was about to spend £50+ on a GPS logger that does this. So to me its a bargain!!

Basically this is an app which logs your iPhone GPS position, you then download the data with your pics to the downloadable software for mac/pc. The softawre will then GeoTag your pics, ready for you to use and edit in whatever software you prefer.

It's really easy and simple to use, great for anyone who likes photography.

Works with RAW file types.

You turn this on and leave it running, wherever you go this app records your GPS position, then when you get home you import the data from the app alongside the images from your DSLR camera (or other extrernal camera) the software matches the location data with the time tags on your pictures, tagging them with the GeoTag data.

any idea if it will work with raw files?

Sounds ok but constantly having GPS running is going to drain your battery life.

It's not too bad actually. You can change the interval times of GPS logging, I have it at 10 min as a standard, as I dont get that far in 10min as a rule! lol. Therefore it only uses the GPS every 10 mins.

That makes sense. Thanks for pointing it out.

This is an excellent app. I've been using it for 3 months now and can recommend it highly. I was going to spend £80 on a logger but this is far better. I take a spare phone battery with me when I go out but so far power loss hasn't been an issue and I've never had to use it on HTC Legend. Heat added OP.

Alternatively couldnt you just use the iphone/idevice that tracks you unwittingly to do the same basic thing? Wasn't there an active scandal going on currently that records all this kind of data for "free" ?
