nice one, ordered a couple little bits for the nintendo ds's which we have.

i also probably stand more chance getting this tt card faster then the 3 other cards i have ordered from 2 UK companies which were ordered on 27th november.

1 of those companies is lying blatantly trying to tell me they sent the items recorded delivery but have never sent confirmation , 18 days ago, the other people just seem to have forgotten all about my order.

at least i got the r4 from dx when i ordered it, although it did take 16 days.
#11
Technically it runs up at £12.70 if you go through paypal :)

But either way it was a good spot, will be ordering one just to see how well it performs against the R4 and the M3 models.

Mike..

anyone got phone number for super card store please
#13
Ta. Just ordered one. Hopefully it will be quicker than the 3 R4s I ordered from volumerate.
#14
Can someone tell me why I would want this for my DS? What is it's purpose?
#15
There appears to be a world shortage of R4s, so I also ordered the M3 Real with rumble £17.80 from DealExtreme.

Sarah3585. You can backup all your games to your PC then put them all onto a micro SD card which then slots into your R4, DSTT, M3 which you then insert in Slot1 of the ds. You can keep your original carts safe and just use the backup. You can also transfer mp3s and video to the card and listen/watch it on the ds.

Gone for 1, thanks to OP

You can't (conveniently) backup your games to your PC with one of these flash carts - you need a GBMP to do that effectively. There is a way to run a ftp server on your pc and use one of these carts to backup your original game via wifi, but it takes upto an hour to complete.

Far quicker (and easier) just to download a copy of your original game from the internet.

Which companies were they? Let the people know, so we can avoid them..

so whats the difference between this and the r4? and which is better?
#19
Can anyone confirm that this does the same thing as the R4 and is it as easy to use e.g. drag n drop files? Thanks in advance.
#20
How does this connect to a computer? USB or SD slot? I have a mac would that cause me any problems? ie is there PC only software.

all you need is a card reader, in fact not even that as one is supplied. you only need a free usb port and your in business. slot micro sd into the reader, slot into usb port, drag and drop .nds files etc onto micro sd, remove from reader, slot into card, slot card into ds, and thats very basically it.

its more like an M3 with the layout and the fact it supports SDHC so 4 or even 8GB cards are suitable to use with this card.
#23
I've just bought one got it in front of me I also got a 4gb micro SDHC. The reader that comes with the dstt doesn't work with SDHC cards but will work with normal cards. Drag & drop & it's reasonably fast.
#24
Does anyone know if this would work with a GBA Micro?
#25
What size does video have to be to go on these? 320x240? what format?

Check out this forum for more info.

The DSTT is quite new, but does not appear to do anything much different to the rest of the crowd, For 12.50 you can't go wrong really, if you JUST want to play your backups and mp3s.

no, its for the ds only. there are card 2 solutions which might work with your micro tho.

personally, i use the card reader that comes with the micro sd. unless you buy a micro sd off ebay with no sd adapter, then that would be annoying if the reader itself doesnt support SDHC

I think they accept divx format. If 320x240 is the screen size you might as well reduce it to that size.

anyone got phone number for super card store please

Google cached page shows it as:

1st Floor, Coleridge House
15 Coleridge Road
London N8 8EH
United Kingdom

By Phone:

Within the UK: tel 0709 200 6906 (Calls charged at 35p per minute and do not normally count as 'free minutes') - we have a standard landline for longer calls, obtainable on request.

I paid for an R4 on wednesday and the guy at supercard store said he would try and dispatch on thursday. Since then the site has gone down and he doesn't answer his emails. Not looking great and may need to do a charge back on my credit card.

I ordered this earlier today, well the one with the rumble pack http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10323 (not that I actually know the difference) after 'Mecoconuts' recommended it to me

Can anyone recommend a microsd card for it? Would 1gb be enough - not gonna use it loads and want as cheap as possible!

Rep to be had:-D

Just received one of these from ds-memory.net .... Thing was I ordered a R4 ... which btw is just fine ....Works great.... Only problem was I paid £54 for 2 supposed R4s and received 2x DSTTs with no refund , so I feel a bit cheated by ds-memory.net...they send a little note with it explaining that the R4 is now called DSTT , which is a lie...these are not rebadged R4s as they claim , these are a completely different product....BEWARE anyone who ordered any R4s from ds-memory.net!!!!

Regards m-tek

BTW heres some instructions on getting the DSTT working as it ships with no instructions

Just to let you know that DX started advertising these on the 13th Dec and have not shipped any out to anyone. I don't think they actually have any stock in yet so beware.
