LOL. do you want to compare the images again?
You are buying some knockoff product for a pound cheaper than the real thing!

I prefer the look of the ebay acutally! it lights up at the front in different colours to let you know the charge. also its slimmer (not bothered about holding the knunchuk and i need the space!) and will just plug into the wii's usb.

Ok this may sound really dumb, but i know nothing about the wii but DH & the kids have one , so would be nice to pre order one of these for stocking filler, we use AA batteries in our controllers which run out so fast, can i just use the normal controllers as they are with this charger, or do I have to get rechargeable batteries or something for in them?
#8
Do you think you have to take the straps off to charge the Wiimotes?

the battery packs are just one solid thing that fits on the back, so you take off the battery covers too so make sure you keep them safe. using the packs doesnt make the remote bigger or anything its all the same size

yes you should (I can't find the rechargable batteries seperate and well they are pictured seperated to main pic which would suggest so)

yes before anyone says it 2 remotes and a chuck are pictured but they dont come
#16
I got the same set for less than £9 delivered but I don't think it's allowed to post the shop's name in this forum. Can an admin confirm whether PM is okay to provide such info?

It comes with stand and 2 1800 mAh batteries. One charge lasts about 17 hours

This isn't helpful. If you're not going to contribute... shush :giggle:

For those like me who wondered what this station comprises, here goes:

Wii Dual Charger/Docking PowerStation
The Wii Power Station features not one, but two high quality rechargeable Battery-Packs, designed for use in up to two Wii Remotes, removing the need for replacement batteries.

When finished gaming, the Docking Station charges, stores and protects up to two Wii Remotes and provides a retractable cradle to store the Wii Nunchuk controller.

Looks like Amazon are running a good deal here, particularly if your purchase is eligible for super saver delivery. The equivalent buy at ChoicesUK does include free delivery, but the price is a tad too much to make it cheaper overall. The product at Argos is a different unit altogether and appears to not provide a cradle for nunchucks.

Again, this is a different product. It doesn't include batteries or a nunchuck cradle.

Some info on the play.com one above:

* Stores your Wii console securely in its vertical position.
* Built in charging docks for 2 x Wii remotes (remotes not included).
* Charging bay to charge 2 x AA batteries (batteries not included).
* Auto Cut Off when batteries are charged.
* USB connection from your console provides power.
* Stylish Cool Blue LED lights.
* Requires 2 x AAA Ni-Mh batteries for each remote (batteries not supplied).

Also recommended by me (and currently in stock)

yeah you get two, it all runs of the wii's usb port even when the wii is off it charges them, red light means charging and green light means charged

in all fairness the nunchuck holder is useless and the wire has to hang down the front would have been better the other way around

the other one posted for a tenner i wouldnt bother with as you have to provide you own batteries and it attaches to your wii, the cable on this is an ok little size so you can have the wii tucked away and this charger in another place - i have my wii in a cupbaord and this coming up by the tele through a little hole

Keep your controllers charged the easy way, with this new Charging Station. It comes complete with two rechargeable 1800mAh battery packs, that fit into the standard Wii remote. Then you can charge two Wii remote controllers at the same time with this stylish Charging Station. The stand also lights up with a cool blue colour, which adds a nice touch also.

Yeah but how much is shipping to UK?
#30
Worth checking current Littlewoods codes for this as well - ordered a couple of weeks back when there was a combined 10% discount and £25 off discount to get it down from £28 to 20p delivered! :)
#31
I have one of the renchi ones.
They look good (all lit up)
but you have to take the strap off every time you want to charge
#32
I had to register to warn people

People, please be wary of these charging stations, the cheap ones have been known to kill Wii-Remotes

I've been half heartedly looking for a charging solution myself but a lot of the 3rd party ones are known to kill your remotes

You have been warned, I'm awaiting the official one
#33
Are you sure there'll be official ones?
