It is HD ready and it has integrated Freeview with a 850:1 contrast ratio. It needs to be ordered, but if you're quick - you should also be entitled to the 10.00 voucher

Only a few store seem to have them immediately available instore, but they can be delivered to the store within a couple of days when i tried to get a reservation

#4

#5
The link is broken but the TV is on the site for that price
#6
Anyone know how good this TV is? Im thinking go cheap and get this, similar specs to the LG19LS4D, or shell out another £55 quid for that.
#7
Reserved mine I think its a great price for a telly with freeview, got mine for the bedroom  Cheers OP
#8
Reserved one. As said should be a great bedroom telly. Got a £10 voucher as well!! :santa:
#9
None in or around Belfast :(

We need to find out the warranty that would be nice, plus dont get me wrong I think its a good price but £249 for a 19 inch is a nonsense. This is about the money and also I can not find this TV/Monitor anywhere other than argos so its not like you can compare. But it does have all the spec :-)

Can anyone tell me if this tv would be better to connect to my PC as it has a DVI socket and its also cheaper.

Many thanks.

Got mine from Richmond (Surrey) today. Very happy with it (upgraded from a 14" CRT) so widescreen is an improvement for me!

Only quibble is I can't get my sky+ remote to operate it...

very clever, but how do you order your vouchers so that you can use them tomorrow? On Argos website to get £5 for £50 spend or £10 for £100 spend you have to order online. Can I go and get vouchers in store?

Ignore that.....my brains not in gear......gpoing to Argos to get £100 vouchers with £10, will then go and get another lot later...cheers

Very HOT deal, just reserved mine!....Thanks for the post

Very cold deal. I've tried everywhere around Cheltenham, Yeovil, Cardiff, Brentwood, Poole, Winchester, Southampton. Nothing. If people are getting these TVs then perhaps they could say where they are.

I reserved in Hounslow, out of my area but worth the 20mile trip

Hot deal if you can buy it, Cold deal if you can't. Stands to reason.

If it was cheaper elsewhere then it would be cold. Not if you are unfortunate to have no supply in your area

Mines reserved for collection from Gravesend Kent next Tues-Thurs.
Suppose it depends on which distribution centres have them.
Similar thing happened this time last year with a Wharfedale 17" freeview widescreen. It had to be ordered for store collection.

Where about are you geographically? When i posted the deal last night - out of the area i am in (Poole being one of the stores) 5 out of 9 branches had them in stock. To be fair though, you are going to have to be quicker than spit off a shovel to get any... very reasonably priced LCD, HD ready, integrated freeview fair contrast ratio telly at this time of year - it's a seasonal thing!! :?

I did try last night but there was nothing in stock then. I have reserved one from Southampton, so now fingers crossed. Thanks. Still cold until I receive it:-D .

Whats the quality like? Any joy with the SKY+ remote? Anyone find any reviews on this? I found on Amazon France an Akai DLCD-1905 but it looks nothing like this one?! A review would be nice....cheers:whistling:

I have been lucky enought to reserve both this set and the 19" acoustic solutions set which is £149.99 but I am unsure which is the one to go for
I posted the other set as a deal to see what sort of reaction it got but the answer seems to be not much

is it worth paying the extra £20.00 for this set?

I know that the contrast ratio is better on this one but it is only for my son's bedroom for christmas so I'm not sure it will make that much difference

I only have them reserved till tomorrow night so please help

the store is Lowestoft in Suffolk
#31
Okay.....Got it, set it up (not rocket science!) and for the money i think it's pretty damn fine! Yesterday i bought a comparable Wharfdale for 199.00, so i need to run them along side each other for a final desicion.

There aint any in any of the shops round here Grrrrrr

Got mine today travelled to Stroud, Gloucs to collect, worth the round trip (I am from Gloucester).

Stock is limited but you can order one in from one of the Gloucester stores. I am very pleased for the price a cracker, the person who posted this was not a great price show me something better than this for the money, plus I got the £10 voucher too, to sweeten the whole deal.

Cheers again OP

Sorry, I'm not really into my TVs enough to talk about resolution and contrast ratio and the like but the picture quality looks great to me. DVDs look really crisp on it is the best I can muster! Like I said I was upgrading from a 14" CRT so it was quite a bit of a jump so I might not be the best reviewer.

No luck with the Sky remote, think I tried pretty much every code they had for it (though can never be sure if I've done it right, so it's possible I mucked one or two up), but it's no great hardship to use the tv remote for the time being.

Just to confirm, this WONT work. Term 8 of their conditions for this promotion as follows;

8. This offer is not available with the purchase of Argos gift vouchers.

Oh yeah, and unless I'm being dim, no headphone socket, despite the blurb on argos saying it has one? (tend to do most of my viewing at times when others in the house are asleep, so a must for me)

All I can see on the back is a audio vga input socket?

The voucher 'deal' is a bit flaky this time. Bought 100.00 worth (to test the water) and got the voucher, but sent husband in to get another lot and he was refused. Turns out the cashier was well and truely ....told off for the first transaction. The t&C's do say though that their desicion is the final one (and as the cashier is mum of one of my sons classmates - i couldn't be bothered with the hassle) The bottom line is - if you can 'get away with it' - lucky you, but don't embarrass yourself for a tenner - and you will still qualify for your 10.00 as you purchase the telly. After getting it home, i too, found that there was not headphone jack - but considering most earphones will not reach the length of a bed (where most people will be using the telly) it wasn't really here or there. The picture quality is great (smallest text is a little grainy if you're gonna be really picky. I can't find a review for this telly, but Which? don't seem to rate the Accoustic Sol - pretty tinny sound and a bit unreliable - but it's horses for courses

Great :-) Thanks for the info. May give it a try. Main problem is that the stores in my area have no stock :-( So just going to have to keep checking and checking and checking.... :whistling:
