got one of these from aldi a few years ago -better price than other places just that its not that good. there is not enough depth between the grill and the lava rocks - so not a nice even heat for cooking.

not as big as the pic makes it look.I bought this a couple of years ago also\ and good value for the price.A bit of a pain to assemble and changed the input gas regulator fitting over for blue bottle gas (costs approx 10.00 from camping shops .Altogether cheaperr than comparitive ones with side burners at home base and B & Q.Says duel gas I would say that is correct but you have to change the regulator (easy to do though) if you wanna use the bluebottle gas

I got one of these, nice bbq - took a good long time to asemble,

They come with a regulator for green coloured "patio gas", this is sold at a higher price than orange cylinders, but both contain propane. Both use a different regulator.

You can often get old orange cylinders from the dump for a small fee, or on freecycle.
Then take them for a refill (exchange) anywhere that sells the make of gas of the bottle.

Butane is ok, its not as good as propane in cold weather , but then BBQs tend to be summer things.

Never seen the point to gas BBQ's, whole point of BBQ is the charcoal cooked taste. Save yourself a few quid and just bob your chops under the grill in the kitchen

If You Live Near Stratford On Avon , Theres A Market Near There Called Wellsbourne Market Approx 4miles, On The Airfield .

Grabbed One On These Brand New For £35 Last Week Its Still A Bargain At £50
Took About 2 Hours To Put Together But Looks The Buisness When Its Up
Simmilar Ones In The Diy Shops Are £150 And Have Checked it Out,tried It Out The Other Day Cooks Great, Warming Grill Is Also Great .

I used wood chips in my gas bbq, tastes good as charcol and takes not time getting up to cooking temp.

had predecessor of this model. not the best quality and finish. B&Q have "westpoint" gas bbq on special offer for £99, which I have been much happier with. Less spec, more expensive but overall just better quality

First of all, high all:-D my 1st post here.
Ive come across these forums a few times and they have helped me find a bargain on more than one occasion :D so cheers all.
I really wanted this barbecue but only found this offer on these forums yesterday and rushed out today to my two nearest aldi's but was to late.
Ive tried zooming in on the pic to see the make, but cant make it out.
Anyone know what it is, or where i can find one of these in stock online please?
Thanks

Me too! SA said they all went in the opening day of the offer (Thursday, I think). Same with the Aldi in the next town 10 miles away too. :(

It's a 'LandMann' and they do have a website, but I couldn't find this particular model.

I only had a quick look, and there's two that look similar, but not exactly the same.

Could be that it's a discontinued model or that it's been specially commsioned for Aldi

If you check out the Landmann 12395 on the above site, it's listed on mensgiftshop.com at £165, so the Aldi one was an absolute steal.

Planet barbeque sell Landmann BBQs, but they seem pretty expensive (expecially the Luxury one @ £1799) ;): http://www.planetbarbecue.co.uk/sfgasbbq.html
