A great deal for anyone who has two mobile phones and only wants to carry around one!

The key features, really, are that it supports two SIM cards and can be used on two networks at the same time. It's got Bluetooth, SD card slot, 2.2" touch screen, FM radio and a spare battery. It can be charged via the USB cable, so you don't need to worry about power supply adapters.

DealExtreme are charging only $58.90 for this phone including shipping, which is less than £36 at the moment.

Also comes with a 256MB memory card (but be careful - the last phone I bought from there helpfully included a virus on the free memory card!)

[updated: added direct link. sorry, first post!]

Pretty good price for what your getting. I evaluated a similar one a while back, wasnt dual sim tho. and it was total pants, not the phone itself, but the firmware/software for playing videos etc, could only handle video files of a few MBs so copyin a film on to a memcard to watch was a non starter along with music videos. Also that one was around the £100 mark!

This one seems quite good in its appearance etc but I wonder if its just the bar along the bottom of the screen thats touch sensitive as opposed to the whole screen, not sure. Either way its at an acceptable level to try out anyways. Might get one and see what its like!

I use them maybe three times a week and have done for over a year now great site 5-10 days for deliverey. Payments are done via paypal so thats another bonus. great site you shouldnt have any worries just read the reviews before you buy. The only thing i wouldnt buy from them are memory cards as they are 90% fake

I've bought loads of stuff from them, just beware that it usually takes more than a week to arrive because it comes all the way from Hong Kong.

Most of the phones are aesthetically appealing especially the iphone look-a-likes. Dont get me wrong they work great as phones and texting systems but things like the video players and music players are really crude and rudimentary software apps that cant always handle what we expect or think they should handle. Like large movie or audio files.

IMO you're better of buying a budget or middle range phone from a reliable UK retailer than wasting your money on these imports. Especially if you are investing your money for a long term perm phone rather than just buying it for the gadget factor. If its for the gadget factor then fine, you expect that element of disappointment.

What's the cheapest dual-SIM mobile phone in the UK?

You can choose to be billed by paypal in $ if you want, that way your bank does the exchange = better rate I would think.

I always get billed in $ by Paypal as Nationwide don't charge and give a good rate.

The one where you take one sim out and put the other in, or buy a dual sim holder for a couple of quid. If your buying it solely for the dual sim then fine, all I was writtin was an overall summary.

There's still no guarantees, I've never ordered anything more than $20, but I wouldn't risk it.

I must say the pics of the phone and the menu interface look great.

But this phone allows you to have both sims working at the same time !?
#20

#21
How would warrenty work if it didnt work for example? You would have to post back to Hong Kog?

Plays NES roms too [thumbsup]

I bought a camera pen off of them on 31st Aug and still waiting for it. They keep fobbing me off that it will arrive, and now heard nothing from them for over a week, no offer of a replacement or refund, was about £24 so be prepared.
#25
i have used them several times with no problems, wouldn't hesitate to buy from them
#26
I too have used DealExtreme many times over the last year. All items have been delivered ok. I've never ordered expensive items yet. Alway keep the cost below $20 per order in case it goes missing. I would be tempted by this phone but I'm waiting for someone else to be brave and take the plunge first. :whistling:

OK gotta question if anyone can answer?? Id love dual SIM/Dual standby phone... I lived in Rep of Ireland for a while and now back in London. I have a 3 Ireland PAYG SIM, that allows UK roaming... but its beauty is that as long as Im on 3 UK network, I dont get charged roaming rate to recieve calls in the UK on a +353 number unlike other networks called "Just Like Home" I would use this all the time, but I need a UK number and hate to carry two fones... So my question is, can I have a UK SIM & an Irish SIM (Roaming) running in dual mode on this fone?? & do they have to be running on the same frequency IE GSM, PCM, 3G etc??

Thanks hope that makes sense, would be a brilliant phone 4me if thats the case!! :):)

here's some pictures of the phone. (don't know if I uploaded correct or not..)

Seems like one of the sim ports on the phone don't work so it's already off to repair..

to buy or not to buy that is the question?
#34
do not buy

Your going to have nothing but trouble here....

There is only one IMEI on this model and the 2 SIMs especially in the UK will not share the same IMEI even on different networks....

I have a similair model (For 2 months no one can help me either)

I have tried all settings but the second GSM SIM will not come into standby

What's the general verdict on this phone now that a few people must have received and been using them? I want a dual SIM phone (where both SIMs are operational at the same time), but this seems to be in doubt with this phone.
I don't like the condition that they can send out a faulty unit and the buyer is responsible for return postage both ways !
