I have one of these. I use it to charge AAA for my mp3 player whilst I'm at work. FYI it can charge single batteries or pairs. It takes a while but has got me out of a couple of situations where I didn't have any charged batteries to hand.

Hot. Will check poundland next time I'm around the city. Would be interested to see how long these take to fully charge an AA battery/pair of batteries.

How well do these work towards batteries like the Good to Go or Eneloop batteries?

"batteries"

Good post. I've just gotten back from Maplin where these sorts of things are £15 each, and was kinda hoping I'd see something cheaper listed here, so cheers for this.

'...gotten'? Are you from the middle ages - or American - or think it sounds cool or something?

I actually think it sounds like quite an ugly word, probably because of the phonic similarity between it and 'grotty', and I'm not American, so I suppose that just leaves the option of me being from the middle ages. That's fine with me though, I'll just go get my ball and chain, and I'll meet you in the courtyard.
