Found these in car usb chargers in my local poundland...nothing special to look at but they have dual usb slots and output higher than most at 1000Ma.....works for my phones, Ipod and MP3 Player. Many i have used dont want to charge the Ipod but this baby does.

check behind the similar packages containing the Ipod usb cables, as the one i got was hidden right at the back...also got another for a family member......

these are great - double usb socket - and even charge my daughters Sony Mp3 player - which has proven to be very fussy about where it is fed from (other usb chargers have not worked with it but this one does)

Will hit poundland tomorrow and get one of these

Cheers

I've seen this in the Manchester Arndale store I think

They have these in Merry Hill and Brierley Hill - Midlands if that helps anyone. I got one and it's a bargain, I was worried I would have to pay loads for it for my iphone.

Nice!

always a bit wary of things like this, they can't damage any device plugged into them can they ?

They shouldn't do, all it will be doing is splitting the output your car gives, unless you're plugging something like an inverter in, you shouldn't have any problems.

If its properly built it should be ok.. there should be some sort of regulation in there and it should be fused.

Some proper cheap ones that you get free with stuff from places like dealextreme scare me.. but this one looks ok.. i might have to see if i can get one later in the week (once i can dig myself out of the snow)

Yeah, was looking at getting one of these after it was mentioned on the thread about the Dealextreme one.

Any chance of a larger pic?

I got a Signalex iphone/ ipod data cable from the poundshop too which works with it. It's retractable and saves having the official one rolling about in my car.

Same packaging, just pink where the blue is

work on 3g iphones?

Got a couple of these a few weeks ago. They work OK for charging stuff but if you're planning to use it to listen to an MP3 player while charging at the same time then beware.... the regulation and filtering on them is awful and they let a hell of a lot of alternator noise through whch you hear as a varying high pitched noise when accelerating. Tested with an Ipod and a Sony MP3. Still a bargain just for a plain charger though.

well do they work on 3g iphones??????
