But Costco is available to the minority .... This is £60+ at Amazon, £59.95 at John Lewis and £55 at Next, so looks hot to me.

Good price, good toaster. I also bought one from Costco.

But after a quick search, it's been posted on here for £30 mark.

cold full stop.
Dualit as a brand is pants imo. bought a 4 bread 2 slice toaster and the element inside went after just 1 month. We used it as normal (no abuse). We also found that the bread (again, normal sized) would stick out from the top as it didnt fit in. poor poor poor!

Dont bother - get a cheapo which will last longer and do a better job.

I don't think Dualit brand is pants.... but I did have a lite version of their toaster and it stopped working after 13 months. Dualit customer services were good and replaced even though it was out of warranty (I think it was a 12 month warranty then) but it put me off the lite version. I bought an old version which must be over 10 years old from a car boot sale (£2 I think) and is absolutely fine. The only downside, being the old version doesn't take thick stuff like crumpets/bagels.

When did you buy this? I was in costco this weekend and saw it for £115 + Vat

I doubt if it's EVER been £40 odds from Costco. I think it's a case of wishful thinking... It's never been the below the £100 mark since it came into stock.

This is a cheapo version NOT made by dualit, just branded under licence.

If you bought the good version of Dualit the elements are replaceable and reasonable on Ebay

A quick look at this deal and noticed that the Dualit Coffee Machine is an excellent price at £119.20 for collect at store - great price as it's £175 at John Lewis (but you do get a jug that is £10) or £140 odd at Amazon.

You were looking at a different model, i think it is the Vario. See:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=299920

This thread is about the lite version. In Watford they had and still do i think (will check in the week) the toaster and the kettle and from memory we paid £90 or £95 for both in cream.

No price on the M & S website! I guess it was one of those 'we have 1 in stock' efforts if it ever was in stock. FYI I was referring to Costco before you go feebly trying to defend yourself.

Dont be so silly Dualit are one of the leaders on toasters, We used to use them at the Hospital and they were hammered, dont you know that the elements can be changed at a very low cost. Hot from me
