Yea same here :D

Been waiting to pick up a black ds3, for some reason its priced lower than the white or silver ones :whistling:

Cheaper at YesAsia if the "QUIDCO5" code and Quidco £2.14 cashback still goes through. I reckon I paid £26 from YesAsia.

But £29.99 is still ok as CDWow is £34.99!

going to get out the credit card me thinks

Had one experience with them that went well :) Didn't need to contact them, but chose the free del. and it came next day :) That was for GTA4 PS3

I've had a look on YesAsia but are there differences between "Japan version" and "US version"? Would they work on a UK model or would you need a "European version" or something?

[edit] ibrox_hunk: Thanks for the info... couldn't see any reason why they wouldn't but I know Sony like to region lock things. Well, at least they used to...

they all work on every console

Hadnt occurred to me but thats a very good reason for getting one, specially as i paid £75 and got the special play.com limited edition version . does anyone know if they are going to release the ds3 over here in time for MGS4? i thought that was the original plan...

It's should be available for preorder if it's due out soon.....
Best bet is prob yesasia, should get it within 2 weeks free delivery, and should be under £30 with quidco..... I doubt it the RRP when it hits the UK will be £30.....
#11
think RRP is set to £39.99 - and if your like me I don't want to wait 2 weeks - prefer to have mine tomorrow for the extra cost :D

Why cold? Anyone know any cheaper?

(Sorry, shouldn't have even bothered to ask "why cold". I forget this forum is full of pathetic numpties who vote cold for the fun of it.)

Anyway..

Cheaper? Anyone?

Has rumble.

Also has a little more weight to it and apparently the analogue sticks feel more responsive, or so i've been told. :?

The extra weight comes with the rumble. It feels like the old controllers and not the cheap frisbee sixaxis ones. Other than the weight and rumble though, they're identical.

I recommend importing, these things are going for around £50 odd in australia, when you compare that with the price of the console out there, it translates to around £40-£50 here too. Quite extreme for a controller, so import is the cheapest (and in this case quickest too) option

Just ordered the white version from Yesasia for about £26ish inc $5 off, and Quidco tracked within 30mins. Thought I'll go for a non black version, and I doubt Europe will get the white and silver versions!

For £30 it's a deal, rrp will be higher than that for sure once released in UK/EU

On YesAsia as the white one is showing as $59.99 which is about 30 quid. Are you saying it's 26 quid using quidco and a voucher? If so, which voucher code are you using? Cheers..
#19
I used QUIDCO5 which gives $5 off and if you go through Quidco you get the Quidco rate on the full $59.99. I am sure it tracked at £2.14.

Not sure if the voucher is still valid.

I ordered on the 25th May at 6pm and it arrived here today from Croydon.

Does the Yesasia controller have English writing on the back?

Only one line of orientalness on the back, why does it matter?

The only reason I can think of is reselling. Not that text on the case will stop it from working on a given PS3 regardless of country but some buyers do get iffy even given enough proof that it would work.

Yup I ordered yesterday using the Quidco5 voucher, and it also tracked at £2.14.

It is only one small line in Japanese and as all the important text such as brand, model, battery spec etc is all in English I wouldn't think anyone would complain? Even UK supplied Japanese goods can sometimes have a bit of Japanese text here and there!
