This is a re-post of the old Greenman deal because the price has dropped massively.

I can't believe I bought this on Steam for £29.99...

Just completed it, turned out to be a bit of a let down tbh. Will be a tenner in the steam sales in a few months

I heard this game is not worth the disc it's burnt on.

I've heard bad things. Shame...

Didn't think it was too bad, i didn't look at it expecting it to be a call of duty rival like most people have. its a good game for existing fans but didn't really offer anything to the modern FPS gamer.

Probbly not worth £25 i paid but would be a good price once it gets down to around £15.

seems no more or less sh*t than the majority of games these days.
must not have paid their critics enough.

Much cheaper on TPB ;)

It won't win any game of the year awards, but I've actually found large parts of this game rather enjoyable. This is the platform to get it on if you're going to get it at all, as reports of shoddy console ports (especially on Xbox) will testify.

I thought PC Gamers review was spot on in terms of how I felt about it. Its not a brilliant game but it certainly doesn't deserve the horrendous reviews its been getting.

Graphics look like they are from 2003 and gameplay mechanics from the late 90's. Serious Sam TFE/TSE HD is much better.

Serious Sam 3 is what a 2011 bad-ass action hero FPS should be!

Loved every minute of it. Better than every FPS shooter campaign in years i've played, lots of fun and has an old school feel.

If people actually researched the game and paid attention to the marketing they would know that the game was intended to play like this.

Its an awesome game, would have been revolutionary in the console fps scene 5 years ago, but too many people who hadnt played the original went into this with stupidly high expectations.

I play the original even now and DNF is nothing like it, it plays like a poor Halo clone.

Yeah, because they hadn't 'bigged' it up at all prior to release now had they?

They didnt. It was anticipation for most people. Any hype there was, was created by either the fans or people that got strange ideas from the trailers. I was never hyped up for it. I knew it wasnt bringing anything new to the table. But its a next gen Duke game. A release was all any Duke fan wanted. The fact that its different from all the other horrible FPS titles these days who try to copy eachother is enough for me.

Not many developers get over 12 years to hype their game ;)

To be fair Gearbox only started working on it in 2009, and they never really stood a chance - nothing could live up to the hype this game has had following it over the years.

Reminds me of Daikatana...

ive seen it cheaper elsewhere, for something like £18, cant remember where unfortunately

This will be a tenner in a couple of weeks. Not worth buying new. Biggest disaster since the ET game.

Duke Nukem was in development 112 times longer than E.T

"but too many people who hadnt played the original"

Wether they played the original or not it wouldn't matter as it's not like the original.

This game would have gotten the same reaction back then 5 years ago too as it does now when it comes to old Duke fans.

Careful guys. You're getting the DN fanboys wound up. Wouldn't want them to start badmouthing you on their blogs now.

It's the cheapest price I've seen, but I'm remaining neutral until it gets below £20 on the ps3.

It was supposed to be a fun fact. E.T. only took 6 weeks to make.
