If true people that got the motorstorm + £4.99 deal would effectively make a tenner back :)
#2
how are they going to make money on that ?

I will be doing this trade and getting Zelda 3DS for £26

I think what davver was saying was "How the hell do they think anyone is going to buy pre-owned DNF for more than 40 quid?"

Awesome trade-in deal if true.

At the moment its £31/£20. Are you sure its going up to £40? £35 is what they normally give.
#11
Also, its £34 in Asda so that £6 profit right there (I know its trade price but still!)
#12
£40 oO didnt know trade prices go up aswell as down lol i hope the cash price goes up to when they do the 50% extra thing, will be picking up my 4x DNF 2mr ;)
#13
I will keep an eye on this, I thought this would be the Dirt 3 offer but they ended up only offer £30 plus points. I shall have some cex vouchers hanging around so shall be buying some from there to change to gamestation I think

Edit: I shall be in town at some point tomorrow so can confirm then, although I thought that gamestation trades started on thursday

cant understand how they give u so much trade in
usually the preowned section is more than the new section
#15
Decent deal, but their instore prices are generally awful anyway. Good ddeal if you want a straight swap for a new game though.

Would have done for my spare 360 copy but eh, 30 cash will do i guess.

Also, they ALWAYS allow you to trade newly released games in within a week for £35 credit, been that way for ages.
#17
cool i am doing this tomorrow...

Ugh, you're a Cena fan?

Heat added. This is a terrible game. So disappointed with it. This is truly dated. Last chance to sell for a good price because mark my words, within a month this will be cheap as chips.

Maybe you guys should read the reviews again before calling this game any sort of "hot deal". If you think it's worth 40, 35 or even 30 squids, then can I please have said money for these here magic beans...?

Why would they give you £40 for it lol
#24
Un sure if this is true as i was just in gamestation and asked what the next trade in deal is and was told its infamous for the ps3 and also the new tarde in offer starts thursday the 16th as the hunter offer is on until tomorrow the 15th closing time

who said this is a hot deal for the game people are voting hot for the trade in price that op has said will come in to force soon

p.s about my comment before the guy in gamestation said to me this game isnt great and ill probably be trading it in soon as what i usually do is buy 2 cheap games from cex (fifa or pro evao for like 75p or £1) and get £5 off new release games at gamestation when u trade in 2 games then if i dont like the game wait until gamestation offer a decent price like the £35 offered for games like dirt 3 la noire etc etc for example. and i said will it be duke nukem this week he said no its infamous

What? Lol. So only reviewer's opinions count? People aren't allowed to have their own opinions now and we should all become sheep and only listen to reviews?!

I got this game for £30. I'm enjoying it. It's not amazing but it was worth what i paid. Even more worth it seen as i can now get £40 for it too.

Really hope so, as I can buy it cheap and get an epic refund from sending it to GAME as a return :)

Really enjoy it myself, the campaign is your generic FPS linear mess but with actual boss fights, some challenging ones thrown in there as well, unlike the abundance of generic war shooters which have no boss fights and a story as predictable as Sunderland match, i.e. awesome first half, boring and lackluster 2nd. Gotta love the one liners as well.

I've been longing for a CSS style multiplayer game on consoles that actually works as well, none of that crappy perk system etc.

Reviews mean nothing. All modern day casual gamers are sheep that rely on so many points out of 10 before they buy a game, when most companies have to pay reviewers to give them higher scores. Sites like IGN are the worst culprits for this.

The best reviews are the ones that dont score games, such as the guy who runs the Classic Game Room channel on youtube. Infact every youtube review is superior to the journalistic ones, as they are actual gamers, where as the idiots on sites like IGN either get paid to review it, or the company gives some extra goodies to them as an incentive, as well as the free game to review.

One of the reasons why I always take a user score over a journalists score should it come to it.

I'm surprised people actually thought this would be good. It was doomed from the start. There was so much hype that only the best developers ever like Valve or Naughty Dog could've pleased the fans. Wish I'd got it for £30 at Best Buy just for this offer
#32
I got a free membership card from gamestation about a week ago in the Hemel branch. I grabbed it when I bought Yakuza 4.

Given the reviews I've seen, I can see a lot of people taking advantage of this.

Maybe you should read the OP again (_;)

id believe that but when every review ive seen has given it 3,4,5 and at best 6 out of 10 i tend to think its a pile of crap

If you where mad enough to have bought this then i'd definitely use this deal to get your money back as soon as possible because judging by the reviews this is going to be going really cheap really soon.

The general consensus is that the PC version is alright. Still mightily flawed, but actually a lot of fun. About the only thing I disliked so far have been the boss fights, but I did insist on playing on the hardest difficulty right off the bat...

The console ports, and the 360 in particular, do seem to be terribly shoddy. And even then people still seem to be genuinely digging it? But seriously, if you do have it on console; trade it in asap and either buy it on PC (it's hardly the most demanding game) or wait a month or so and re-buy it on console because like most people I think the price is going to massively sink.

There was no hype, just anticipation.

I think 3DRealms released like 1 trailer for this game the whole time they developed it, and a handful of screenshots, so it wasnt like there was anything to actually hype the game up in the first place. Since Gearbox announced it finally releasing, there was no hype either, just a load of Duke fans like myself wanting a piece of the King after waiting so long, regardless of how good or bad the final game was. I even played those awful 3rd person PS1 games, and still loved them cause of Duke.

it is true, i traded in L.A noire and got the same deal.
