#8
Requiem was the final episode, but it was never made.

The scriptwriter has, however, uploaded the script so you can see what happened:

heat added brilliant cartoon!!!
#13
Did they ever get home? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YOU HAVE TO TELL ME!
banned#14
Sadly no... They never made it home.

I was in the same position as most of you guys not knowing where this ended after purchasing the boxset @ a bigger price. I read the script and was amazed at the twist. Would have never guessed it at all.

Heat added but cold in spirit (for no proper ending).
#15
What's the twist?
#16
Not much of a twist as most of that has been said or hinted at in other episodes, the main characters never knew it, only Dungeon Master and us the viewers.
#17
Used to love this & the mysterious citys of gold cartoon, both finished before they should of.

Don't get decent toons these days, going to buy these to watch with my daughter.

I also went ahead and read the script from the link that was posted in the earlier post. The draft script was ambiguous - it does not go further to confirm if the kids went home or not. Although the suggestion was there that they may in fact stay in the Realm and get into other adventures, it still did not offer conclusive proof that they did not in fact go home, or made either choice for that matter at all. ;-)

It was left open to (wishful) interpretation at that final stage.

Besides, assuming there was no 'next' season, the kids' whole motivation from the beginning of the story was to find a way home. Call me whatever, but I personally refuse to accept that after all of those adventures, scrapes with near-death, soul-searching blah blah etc, that they'd at the turn of a hat decide to give it up for one more jolly in their hitherto-prison.:?

But still, that's just my opinion. :)

Anyway, still, an excellent cartoon series, really enjoyed it growing up as a kid in Texas - glad to read that you were a fan of it, too! :)

Had no idea it had sold out, got mine a while back, love the music and the stories, don't make them like this anymore.
