RRP is correct.

This is the price the manufacturer recommends to the retailer that the product is sold for.

As the Dunlop sports brand is owned by Sports Direct, as are many other brands they sell, they are doing nothing wrong.

I understand that but sports direct have never had this on display for £49.99

Its not a "WAS" price, its a RRP (Recommended Retail Price). -

I could make a paper airplane and say RRP is £100, but anyone could sell it for what ever price they wanted.. ie £4.99.

sorry i was referring to the 90% off. yes agreed re RRP. My point was they should have it showing as 90% off unless theyve had it in store for £49.99 which I doubt greatly

Bought two for my daughters today in store, more than adequate for them to use at secondary school new summer. I never take any notice of Sports Directs RRP, but for £4.99, it's a decent opening racket for them both.

i just bought one on a whim. it looks OK. previous selling price was 24.99 by the looks of it.
i.e. rrp £49.99 on an up to 50% off label at only £24.99. this is pretty standard SD labelling practice - it was never in practice £49.99.
someone is selling one (or more likely, more than one) on gumtree for £30 !
