Got the same set in November really good for the price, voted hot and rep added..

a realistic original price would be £150 maximum but still a good deal !

Nice deal...

I'm not sure who dreams up these rrp prices but they are still a very good price for a not very good set of clubs.

A good deal for somebody starting off.

Amazon has them at the same price.

Watch out for the heads coming off :)

Do they have any pics/details of the umbrella??!?...I'd hate to get lumbered with a "My Little Pony" one Chip......

A couple of my friends have bought these sets. One of them has had a problem with one of the heads coming loose (didn't completely come off - 5 iron). He took it back and got a replacement club - no questions asked.

I have used them (have been playing for a couple of years) and they are a good set of clubs for the price. The bag alone will probably cost you £15 plus on its own. If you are beginner or wanting your first full set I would say go for it - you won't find anything better for the price.

Those with a handicap below 20 will probably go for something a bit more professional (and alot more costly).

I might go for it, i need some new clubs......

Take golf club RRPs with a bunker of salt.
Sheer fantasy most of the time.

Go in person to a store near you - the choice is huge & you can pick up a full graphite set, plus bag, brolley etc for around £100.

American Golf Discount stores are great for sets of clubs. You can practice in the nets and also get custom fitting.

Agreed. You can get great deals from American Golf Discount. their advice is great as they can spot any mistakes in your stance and grip and they advise accordingly. IF you want to take up golf seriously then i'd recommend going to such a store.

I would steer clear of these. I know 2 people who had issues with the heads either completely coming off the irons, or just working their way loose - very poor workmanship.

Just because they are cheap, does not mean they are worth playing with.

My friend changed his Dunlop clubs (thankfully received a full refund!) and went to a local golf store and purchased a much better set - his game also improved.

IMHO you should at least go for a make that is established in the golf world - I've never seen any professional using Dunlop clubs - then again, I'm biased with my set of Pings :)

I bought these clubs of the same store last year and thought i got a bargain..... That was until the head of my 7 iron flew off the club while i was swinging backwards in the driving range and it literally missed a mate of mine by an inch. It made a massive dent on a concrete wall. Not sure what would have happened if that was his face!!! My 3 wood was also bent within 3-4 games.
Don't be sucked in like i was. These are certainly not worth £350 or £65 for that matter, no Dunlops ever will and i'm not a snob or anything....

Please please please do not buy these clubs. They are cheap for a reason and will put you off playing golf for life...Recently scored 1 star in a major golf test.
If you are interested in golf then have some lessons with your local pro and if you still enjoy it (which you will) then spend afew more £s and get a set that will last.
Price Buster Golf have a set of forged Benross for £135 for example.

Let's get things into perspective here.....like i said in the opening page - "ideal beginners set"

What's the point in spending a fortune on a set of clubs then realizing a couple of months down the line that "golf's" not the game for you!

My first set cost about £100 - got hooked then gradually upgraded to my current set that cost over two thousand pounds!

As for taking lessons first.....3 lessons would cost you more than this set!

.....oh by the way guys - welcome aboard :)

I've phoned customer services and they've assured me that in the unlikely event that you end up with a "my little pony" umbrella they'll gladly give you a free upgrade to an umbrella of your choice and a complimentary bag of tees!!! :p
