Not a golfer myself but looks like a cheap deal for what you get, using quidco takes it to about £47.00

As it's name suggests, the right handed Dunlop Tour Medalist set of clubs wouldn't look out of place on any of the World Tours.

This top-of-the-range set of irons and drivers uses proven technology to improve your game, whether you're pushing scratch or just a weekend warrior.

The rigid steel shafts and stainless heads on the irons give unrivalled control when approaching the green, whilst the graphite shafted woods will improve your distance off the tee.

Accuracy off the tee is also improved by the over-sized driver heads which increases the size of the sweet-spot. These clubs are also more forgiving for any shots that are hit off-centre. Their high moment-of-inertia indicates that the heads twist less, meaning less slice or hook.

>2 Woods, 1 Hybrid, 3 to 9 irons, PW

Been this price for nearly 2 months, so I suspect they've got a job lot they can't shift!

Last posted 6 weeks ago, and was voted hot, so cant see the reason to vote cold tbh? voting cold as it has been this price b4 cant be a valid reason? hasnt been posted in the last 4 weeks as the rules state

considering the reviews/comments in the other thread I don't think this can be hot. Reckon >90% people say they wouldn't touch them with a barge pole and to avoid them. Bit of a dilemma, hot because they are cheap or cold because they are carp?? Or expire 'cause it's a duplicate? Whatdya reckon?

Golf snobs will vote this cold and say beginners should pay at least £400 for decent set......

I have a Dunlop set (not this one) and I like them. If I was playing a couple of times every week then yes I'd look at a better set but as for an occassional game these will be fine (but no way are they worth £500, more like £100).

I would have voted this hot but as it seems to be the ongoing price (although its a good price) its not hot but its not cold either.

Got a set of these myself. Perfect for me as a beginner and people who are not sure how much they're going to play.
Don't forget Quidco and there was a 10% voucher floating around also when I got mine. They came in at just over £40 for me.

A voice of reason, you cant expect to set the world on fire with them, but for the price and if you are a beginner or only play to let the boss win (if he sees you with this cheap set he might give you a pay rise :) then they surely are a good deal, why pay £400 for your first set

£50 they are worth a punt for a starter set granted....I highly doubt anyone paid £499 ever for these, although if they did they should have been beaten with them .......

If your beginning a prime example of why not to spend hundreds of £££'s is eBay item 330321945142.

these would be great for a new starter...

I would start with a second hand set of say callaways, ping etc. These can be picked up cheaply and made of good quality materials and can be sold on if the game is not for you.
I would be concerned about shaft and build quality of some of the cheaper clubs.
I have had loads of 'just as good as' and unfortunatley they never have been.
