Great price - wish I had seen this before spending silly money on a 12 pack over the weekend! :-(

cheers for that link...but i dont think this deal deserves a cold vote.

its a different product
it is instore only
18 duracell cost £8 as mentioned

this deal -

free delivery on 12 duracell AA
get 24 and still cheaper than the 18 from your link

If these batteries are Duracell "Plus", they're better quality than the Energizer ones anyway, will last longer.

Energizer classic (the B&Q 24-in-a-pack ones, any "family pack") = lower quality than any normal duracell, might be equivalent to "procell" or "duracell classic" (which aren't normally sold retail) I guess?
Energizer Ultra+ = Duracell Plus equivalent
Energizer Ultimate = Duracell Ultra equivalent.

Also worth mentioning that the Robert Dyas website suggests they might have Duracell Plus 8 +8 free pack AA in store for £4.99 which is similar to this deal.

Clearance item. I wonder why. Anyone got these from this deal and know what the 'use by' date is?
#9
thanks have ordered at that price - great for emergencies when rechargeables may not be right

I know they're not Duracell & I know it's not free delivery, but if you have a Maplin near you, these look good value too...

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=37067

(I notice that the Duracell on offer at the 7DayShop aren't their superalifrgailisticthesewillloutlast anything Extreme+ variant ...so it's likely the Maplin ones are just as good)

Good for Duracell batteries
heat added

Just noticed this post and what has been said about Engergizer batteries.

With Energizer you get 24 batteries for 13p more than this 12.

My question really is do Duracell REALLY last that much longer to warrant the price?

Thanks, just got some

My Wiimotes will cane these pretty quick.

Cheers!

these aren't plus or ultra it seems, just standard.

Morrison's own brand alkaline batteries won the gadget show test fairly recently - comparing cost to performance.

This seems good though. +1.

nice h+r added

I asked my mom and she says Duracell have just brought out a new type/line, hence this being clearance.
An okay price, but nothing to go utterly mad for.

Use rechargeables for Wiimotes.

Looking at the page again, I have no idea now.

The picture doesn't have the "plus" logo on it, but then that page was apparently listed in 2001 and I think I'm right in saying that was before Duracell introduced "plus" branding?

Presumably the batteries they're selling aren't stock from 2001, so who knows what they'll send you now. I would normally have guessed "plus" since that's the cheapest duracell seem to sell at retail since "plus" was introduced, but I guess 7dayshop may have found some other stock somewhere.
