No doubt store specific as most Asda reductions are.....

In other words, a fairly pointless post for most of us!

Yeah thats right, well done lol
capatcity basically means how much charge they can withstand (how long they last for)
For example at 1.2v, they can output 1 mA for 2000 hours!

Still £7.04 at Hereford, checked at CS :(

Agreed. Once again, the 'heat' system highlights a single person at a single location getting a great deal. Well whoopee-doo. Why don't the site owners use some intelligence to make it work properly, are they too dim?

Just been into both staples stores in glasgow and they did drop the prices of all duracell packs (all types - rechargeable and alkaline) to £1, including this capacity, so if you have one near you, go and have a look. :)

There weren't many left in either store though... seems to be an end of line for them!

What do you suggest then?

Had a few in Hull sizes AA and D rechargable and AA and AAA disposable all £1
#20
£5 in asda bournemouth
#21
I got them for £1 at Staples this morning in the deal posted on here. :D
#22
£5 at ASDA Govan, Glasgow. I went for the eneloops at the same price instead.
#23
For the people stating they were £5 are you sure you were looking at the right ones. There were some Duracell rechargeable batteries reduced to £5 which looked like an extremely similar pack. The stay charged ones weren't in the main battery display but on a Duracell side display. Got a pack at Rushden store and there were loads left both AA and AAA.
#24
Agreed I checked and can confirm they were on side stand not by main batteries, so grabbed 2 packs.

so would you rather people didnt bother posting deals 'incase' it might be store specific?!?! grow up and stop throwing your toys out the pram - how was i to know it was only in the one store? or the people that vote it? its not life or death, its a website that helps people save money, just because you couldnt get the deal doesnt mean it is useless, even if it helps one other person get a bargain then its worth posting in my eyes
#26
got 6 packs from Sheffield Asda Superstore (AAA and AA). They were not on the main battrery stand next to tills, but in the side stand next to DVD players in electrical dept. Only battreries that say "Stay Charged" and have "5x longer" on the box are reduced to £2.50 - both AA and AAA. There were only a few packs left, so be quick
#27
Just got 2 packs of the AA Stay Charged from the Carlisle store for this price, it said £7.04 or something like that on the shelf but I got it checked and they scanned at £2.50 so be sure to check if you go looking for them. There were still quite a few packs left I think, they were on the end of one of the aisles opposite the tills. Thanks OP!

I'd love to see this site add an availability rating to compliment the existing heat rating. In that way, you could rate a deal hot based on price alone, but mark it's availabilty down if it wasn't in stock in your area. A traffic light system would work: a green light indicates at least 50% availability, a red light for less than 10% availability and amber for everything inbetween. Doubt we'd ever see something like that on here though. Pity.

Just got 6 packs from Wellington (Telford) Asda Home Store.

Seems to be lots left, but they are mixed up with the normal rechargeable one.
#30
got two packs of AA`s at cumbernauld store, bargain still had loads left. heat
#31
Plenty at Huddersfield Asda on the battery isle...not where the digital cameras are.

Been to ASDA perth, took a little hunting arround as there are shelves and shelves full of ordinary Duracells at suppoedly bargain prices, distrubuted throughout the store however found these at the end of one isle, aa and aaa sizes; a few left and as stated above look for 'Rechargable Accu Stay Charged' beneath the DURACELL Header got 2 of aa and 1 of aaa, I hope the 'stay charged' means there similair technology to Sony eneloops , which I currently found to have been the best rechargables I have had yet but not at this price. Bargain thanks.

Yeah, didn't believe it either, turns out they really were. ALL Duracells - indiscriminately!
This is because they had to clear them (and evidently 16 March was the deadline) due to what must be an exclusive deal with Energizer - so they only sell Energizer in Staples now.
#34
Just grabbed a couple of packs at my local.
#35
Grabbed some of both AA and AAA at Sutton branch yesterday. Were at an end of aisle display near the far end checkouts. AAA were marked as discounted to £7.04 but scanned at £2.50 also.
