I was in Morrisons at Granton, Edinburgh last night and they had a promotional rack in the central long aisle (NOTE: NOT the racks beside the checkouts) and it was loaded with Duracell AAA and AA 4-packs advertised at £1.49. Don't know if this is a manager's special or not.

:-D:-D:-D

wish they'd bring back those 8 + 8 free packs, for less than a fiver. Otherwise, think this is hot, heat added.

...If only there was an Argos at the Tower of London you could've scored! Or scored even more if it was a Morrison's!

Same at Currys on the Duracell Ultras and they're also on BOGOF atm so 16 AA or AAA for £3.49

Now that is HOT! Thanks for that, as these are normally 3 quid odd for 4 at Morrie's!

EDIT: Actually, just checked with Curry's at Edinburgh Blackhall, who say they have 4 normal Duracell Plus AA's with 4 free in same pack for £2.99, no BOGOF, and their Ultra 8 packs are £7.49, no BOGOF, so you must be on a STUNNER of a manager's special getting 16 Ultra's for £3.49! You should post your deal!

£2.99 buy one get one free at my local Tesco Express
Although this deal works out a penny cheaper

Nope defo wasn't a managers offer the 4+4 ultra packs were reduced to 3.49 on the printed tickets and the bogof was under customer offers on the system. Was the AAA's I got it on...this was on Monday.

Don't think its worth posting Currys deals where stock isn't certain will just get shot down. ;-)

Much better deal at Tesco. They have 4 + 4 free packs reduced to £2.89 with buy one get one free offer, so 16 batteries for £2.89!

HOT!

Since the local Currys isn't doing the Ultra deal ref'ed above, I'll checkout Tesco's on the way home & stock up, thanks. My 3 kids devour batteries whenever I get 'em, then there's the rabbit, of course!

I was just in Asda Huyton right by the checkouts I was looking at batteries Duracell Plus AA and Energizer ultra + AA 4-packs were £2.89 or so, but the offer was buy 2 packs for just £3.00.

I couldn't decide which was best for digital camera Duracell or Energizer. Oh Asda also had Duracell Ultra AA 4-pack for £3.79 or again 2 packs but for £4.00

Finally argos are doing buy 12 get 12 free Energizer ultra+ that is 24 batteries for £6.99.... or 29p per battery!!! but bad for the environment - split with friends family?

You can never have enough batteries, hot from me :w00t:

Got a camera that takes AAs then?

I keep telling people that dedicated Li-ion are way better but they keep responding with "you can get AAs anywhere". True - at a price!

4 for £1.49 really doesn't seem like much of a deal to me. 25p/battery or less is my rule of thumb for where deals start. This post has flushed out lots of better deals though so worthwhile!

I got 24 from B n Q for £5

I've got an idea. Lets quote any decent battery deal each week, and encourage the "better" deals to roll in! That would sort out the £3 plus cost tag that some vendors are putting on batteries. POWER to the people! True Deal Anarchy!

btw Don't try D.Mains Edinburgh, 'cos they don't have this deal. Possibly it isn't Tesco Metro?
