good price. paid the same for a duracell charger in Argos not long ago, only had 2 AA's and they werent the "staycharged" batteries that apparently come with this one.

heated it up :)
#2
Are you sure the batteries that come with this are the staycharged ones jinjernuts? Don't see any mention of it.
#3
Ah, just noticed one of the reviews mentioned it.

Heat added.

It is a good deal but having recently bought a Speedy Box charger from here :

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=100598

Since using that I seem to be getting a lot longer out of my rechargeables (I'd say maybe 3 times longer in my mini radio). It charges each cell individually and you can mix battery sizes and discharge the cells before charging if you like. They also do 'Good to go' batteries which are the equivalent of the Duracell ones here.

I don't particularly like 7dayshop as their reviews are vetted before publishing (my review for another battery charger never got shown) but I reckon the battery charger is a good investment (it's a rebadged unit which has been around for a while and is double the price).

Yes.I'll sell you mine after I take out the batteries. And at only £8.99

why expired? I just ordered fine and site still showing all OK?

I got this from B&Q for £9.99 recently (was £19.99). If it's the same "mobile charger" then it definately includes Active Charge batteries. It's called a "mobile charger" because it has an interchangeable 3 pin plug which I assume can be changed for international plugs. Also has a USB port for charging USB devices (eg. phone using USB cable)

One problem was a strange clicking noise while charging. A Google search suggests that this is a common issue with them.

Currently showing as 'dispatched within 1 to 3 weeks'?

I think it's run out of current stock so it could take up to 3 weeks IF they get any back in stock, but I presume you'll get charged the price you ordered even if it goes up later when back in stock.
#21
Yes, looks like we will have to wait and see what happens...2/3 weeks :-|

Just taken delivery of this, and the batteries are not the pre-charged 'Active' variety, but bog-standard 2000mah Ni-mh, pretty average capacity really.

Are you sure? Pic clearly shows 'Active Charge' on the packaging. Not really a good deal if they are standard rechargables

Yes, the enclosed batteries are printed 'Duracell Rechargeable' & not 'Active', they also say HR6 rather than HR06A, although the charger inlay card has 'Active Charge' printed on, it also says 'includes 4 AA NiMh batteries', so maybe Amazon have old stock. Since I already have old-tech Ni-Mh AA's aplenty, this charger has effectively cost me a tenner on it's own. :x

Would these work well with wireless Xbox controllers? Don't know if it'll work crappy or something maybe. :S
