I got a box last year and they are still as good as the day I got them. Most are still reading 1.55v

I normally use rechargable, but their are occasions when only these will do

AA at £13.99. For the slightly arithmetically challenged, that's very slightly less than £1.40 for a 4-pack - can cost up to £3.99 in some stores.

Despite having two kids under the age of ten, I still haven't got through the last box I bought.

Handy to have around though

Good Post,

but noticed ASDA are doing both AA and AAA Duracell Plus Batteries for 16 for £5.00

works out to 31.25p per battery, so if you don't want 40 of each

as these work out 31.98p per battery

Battery powered condoms? I bet you'd go like the Duracell Bunny with one of those on! :w00t:

wow in 29 years of using all types, this is the first time I have known this, I think Durecell will compensate:thumbsup:

I had my 40 from 7dayshop from last year, have about 5 left and all has been well, as they are in date till 2014

I think (we know) someone purchased fakes.....that is what the discussion will be.....
Left Duracell's in for years on old remotes and no problems.

Personally I would be looking at Duracell Procell if purchasing this many and CPC in Leyland would be first place to start.... £11.45 I think last time. sure they can be cheaper elsewhere.

Brilliant. Just ordered the AA pack. Many thanks.Voted Hot.

Don't forget they have 'aaa ultra M3 Duracells' for £14.99 too. Always buy my Duracells from 7DS, well worth it. AA M3s are a little more expensive at £16.99

bought a pack of 12 at the local petrol station in clearance for 2quids

i've had several sets leak on me too over the past year, in expensive kit, you merely get a time dated coupon...

We go through tons of batteries and went on the site to buy these, then I noticed it's only a fiver on their site for a charger. So I got a AA/AAA charger with 4 packs of good rechargable AA and 3 packs of AAA all for £35. Seems like more but will pay off in the long term and it's much more environmentally friendly!!!!!

I have been looking... and not found anything yet that won't work with Low Self Discharge rechargeables since I fist discovered them. Which wasn't the case with standard NiMH batteries

Best deal currently seems to be these:
eg. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/544820/rechargeable-aa-2100mah-good-to-go-?t=544820

Even those few rare specialist situations where higher power is needed, then freshly charged high capacity rechargeables will most likely do a better job, although of course less convenient. than the LSD type which are effectively as convenient as disposables.

If something needs more capacity that standard high capacity NiMH can provide, something like Lithium cells is going to be your option, these Duracells are nothing special that can't be out-done with rechargeables of one sort or the other.

As cheap as this offer is, you still get far better value by going with the rechargeable options, the "payback" comes pretty quick, without so much as even touching on the obvious environmental benefits.

B&Q are selling Duracell 18 packs for £5.98. Works out around 33p each if you don't want to wait for delivery. Expiry date on the lot I purchased was 2016. They have AA and AAA.

Well I guess you used the wrong part number in that case, try 15070556 I think that is the correct one.
