I'm surprised these originally cost twice as much! Gobsmacked.

If you wanna buy these there's an even better deal on ebay. 144 batteries for £30 (around 20p/batt (that IS good)). First come first served tho' :)

IKEA Alkalisk are far cheaper at £1.50 for 10, and have a capacity which is marginally less than the Duracells. The IKEA ones are much better value for money if you live near a store.

Yes, I get the kodak's from poundland. 10 AA for £1. 1 lasts 2 months in a wireless mouse so good enough for me.

Tried the Ikea ones in my Xbox One controller and they died really quickly, was surprised.

I bought some of these on Friday when the shop assistant kindly informed me i was a few pence of the spend £50 for a £5 voucher offer ,
#27
Most of the offers are fake. I put my area and silly enough it says that it do not recognise my area as we have an Argos in Harrow.
I tried other offers as well but none of them were available.

£0.95 at Wilko, £1.20 in IKEA, £1.33 at Poundland.

Why do people buy Duracell?

I know, it's like meal deals that 'include a free drink'. They don't include a free drink because the drink is priced into the meal deal price.

some people are suckered into thinking these are the best when they are just alkaline batteries.Wilko ones are great and really cheap

The only thing important in a disposable battery is the price / hour. (/ particular device).
Duracells are pretty much useless here, because anybody can buy Ni-MH rechargable batteries for £2 each.
These have a greater storage per gram and far greater amps delivery than duracells.
And you get 600 charges out of them.
If you want to run something low powered, with just one battery, it is not worth paying £10 for a charger.
(The charger will die before you save anything)
Duracells are pretty much rubbish. Always have been, always will be.
There is no use for heavy hitting disposable batteries;
they perform pathetically next to current rechargeable gear.

These are cheap but way more pokey than anything listed here; see what I mean?

Expensive... hmmm. Depends how much you value your electrical device after you've put the leaky Kodaks in them.
Then we'll see which was the more expensive purchase outcome.

IKEA batteries come out very very well in the tests and are very cheap

I've been using Kodaks for many years and they've never leaked.

You are trying to pass off '****' as reality there.
I have not found a single kodak cell to actually 'leak'.
Not from poundland, anyway ; I cannot find an indicator they are fake.
And I am a qualified sparks btw,so I know what I am talking about.
If you need something more gutsy buy some new tech rechargeable's and stop running your chops off.
Idiot.
