I bought one of these and didn't work very well in canon 550d, after taking a few pictures the camera couldn't access the card, a low level format used to fix the problem until finally one day, after a trip to Longleat, the card died and even windows couldn't access the memory card, so all my pictures of my 4 years old son holding a snake were lost. The card also feels very flimsy and I doubt it these are original Duracell made cards, cheap though.

You must have had a dud. I've had mine for 2 years and also used in a 550d for video/raw photos. No problems at all.

Are you sure this was a genuine card rather than a fake?

I wonder who actually makes these cards anyway, because I bet it isn't Duracell.

Unless something has changed since 2008, it's Dane-Elec.
