If it's a high speed card you need then this is the one,if you don't particularly need high speeds then there are plenty cards around cheaper.

The Duracell Flash ProPhoto SDHC cards optimize recording performance to ensure that you capture more hi-resolution digital images or digital video. Available in the highest possible speed class, currently Class 10, these cards can transfer image files from camera to card at an impressive rate of up to 30 MB per second. The speed capabilities of these cards are optimized for photo and video and won’t provide any tangible benefit on other devices. As with any SDHC class memory, please check your Owner’s Manual to ensure that your camera or recorder and your card reader are HC-compatible.

Perfect for all you rapid shooters out there!
Class 10 is quickly becoming the 'must have' speed for many photographers. The spec is very high on these cards and will easily keep up with the most demanding of users whether you are shooting stills or video

There are some around the £16 mark, but none as good as this card. I have the 8gb in my Canon, and am very impressed with it. It does come with a 10 year warranty as well, which can't be sniffed at..

Wifes on holiday at the moment with the camera, and even at highest settings will hold 2000+

Am voting this one hot!

LOL! If only, sorry forgot to say wife only has the Canon SX210 pointy shooty camera, so shoots in JPG.

I know different cameras have different RAW sizes according to their megapixel rating, but I think something like the Canon EOS 550D produces roughly a 16Mb RAW file, so that roughly works out about 500 on a 8Gb card, about 1000 for a 16Gb... could be wrong though, but would need a DSLR expert to confirm this.

Canon 550D Raws are 25mb each, just saying :)

Yup agreed, speaking as a 550D owner, I'll get about just under 650 shots on average shooting in RAW only with a 16GB card, but that's not to be sniffed at. For the price, this card's seems like very good value, and I'd definitely get one, if only I hadn't bought the PNY 16GB a few months ago.

is this ok for a camcorder?
