these are terrible in non high signal strength area and you have to use a proper outside Ariel to get good results which kinda defeats purpose .

It amazes me how many people actually buy this hardware then phone me up to say why does it not work.

I have yet to see one actually work with the antenna gizmo's they supply you with.

£14.99 seems a good price but if you have to try one of these try adding one when £9.99 to and existing order somewhere.

asides the usb drivers not working as they should.

Save your money and buy one of the other deals Op has listed

The supplied antenna is pretty much useless, Even if you were in an high signal area you probably still wouldn't get a very good signal, You'd probably get a better signal using a metal coat-hanger.

Good deal though

Agree about the ariel supplied. It is quite pointless. We use a freeview (indoor) ariel. You have to manoever the ariel till you get the signal on the channel you want, but once in place works fine. Also, if I'm indoors I use the outdoor ariel with it (as we have sky+ the ariel is now not in use) so I can record TV to my hard drive then burn onto a disc. Handy for that.
But, if you are intending to use this, say, when you go on holiday etc do not expect any joy with the mini ariel that comes with it.

Yes if you want to use this with Ariel as I hope I mentioned then yeah they are worth having.

There are no HD broadcasts on Freeview at this time, thinking its some time in 2010! So why advertise HDTV Freeview when its not available. VOTE COLD

I've one of these and I have no problems with it at all. The software is a mediacentre type software package that works pretty good with it and you can record to hard drive as well.

I agree that the aerial is useless in most indoor cases however i used it to watch TV on my laptop during my lunch at work loads of times before and i got a perfect picture and great reception. but when i tried it at home it didnt get any channels at all, so its a case of getting a good reception.

Voted hot as far as I'm concerned as these are great items to have. Like most gadgets like these, they only work best in a certain environment. But I have no complaints about them at all.
