Shame it doesn't have bluetooth. :)
I brought this stereo for my GF's xmas prezzie last year for £45, it's decent enough for the money - my GF's speakers are more of a problem - maybe that could be this years prezzie :)

For anyone that is better at searching than me I ordered it on 11/10/2007 and there will be quite a long HUKD thread on it near that date from last time.

It shows up as Stage CD/VCD/DVD/MP3/MP4 FM Reciever with USB/SD on my invoice - I think it took us most of the thread last time to try and work out who the manufacturer was!

Price in the title? ;)
what is the screen size for dvd divx?
Voted cold.

I have one of these, does not support ID3 tags utter pain and sometimes randomly crashes and ejects discs. I am currently looking for a replacement.
Had mine for around a month.

Easy to install, and very happy with it:thumbsup:

Haven't even tried the CD/DVD yet, just using the radio and the USB stick connection, which is brilliant.

Simply shove all your fav tracks onto a 1GB stick, click on the random play feature and enjoy!

By the way, where did you get the wharfedale screens from, Guv?

that would be this then? ...... http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104106

HTH

hot by the way, i'll be having one :)
lol - I forgot you did that guv :)

funny - on that thread I'm complaining that they dropped the price after I ordered it but on my invoice online it shows that I paid the lower price anyway - heh.
Does anyone know if you can connect an ipod to it?
It has a front facing aux in - can you connect it to that? I've not tried?
whats the best thing to add to bump it up to £50 to save getting shafted on postage costs?
anybody confirm if this plays dvd mp3? (giga mp3) as it doesn't state, it just says mp3 so im guessing CDR mp3 not dvd mp3, my jvc head unit does dvd mp3 but im looking for a cheaper model that does it.
Where did you get the wharfdale screens from and were they just plug and play?

maybe a memory stick to stick in it :)

or ebuyer do cheap 6 way surge protection bars which you can never have enough of :)
...and they are just plug and play. ....

How many screens can it connect to and are the connectors front or back?

what kind of connection is it for the screens?

I bunged 100 cheap blank dvd's in on the order to bump it to £50
Voted very cold...i thought this would be great to fit into my car but the 1st one i brought the buttons were all stuck and the second one kept skipping cds and kept ejecting them 4 no reason ...so after 2 units i got my money back and brought something real!! just remember you get what you pay for!!!
Fairly ugly but voted hot cos of the features for the price. Why can't ebuyer sell them really nice double Din stuff available from ebay, i'd trust ebuyer than some chinese seller to be honest:

Where's the best place to buy two 7" screens (to go with this unit) or similar for the car?
At the mo, I really don't know. I got lucky with mine.

Unless you are in a rush, just bide your time until a decent deal comes up for screens. They do appear here every now and then.

Will do - cheers bud.
Cheers for the screen info guv:thumbsup:

You certainly got lucky with the Argos end of line deal!

Still........................the Christmas sales are coming:santa:
Just normal composite.

nice one cheers, rep given :)
I have never fitted a car radio - is it tricky?
I have never fitted a car radio - is it tricky?

it is really easy they come with an iso connector for you to plug in the power, aerial etc and you just slide the cage into the slot, until you hear it lock and jobs a goodun :) [just really depends on the make, model and age of your car]

the connectors look something like this:

One of the reviewers on ebuyer states that the ID3 information is only shown on the external screen and not on the head unit itself (just track number and time).

I won't be getting one for that reason.

Also agree with kobirulali - shame ebuyer doesn't sell some double-din units...
Hi, best I have managed to find for a screen is a single 7" ripspeed one in Halfords for about £72...Would be interested if anybody can recommend a better priced one or tell me if this screen is any good. Thanks.
heres an idea. what about a cheap digital picture frame to use as a screen. would those have video in?
I bought the Aldi offer (£49 in store) which includes Bluetooth too, and I'm impressed.

Lol, no, nice idea but no.

Ebay is cheap for screens.
All the connectors for an amp (if you want to use one - but isnt necessary) and video is the the rear of the unit. So it would mean needing to route the cableing inside the car console and down the gear / handbreak console (in a usual car design!). Did mine and took me about 15 minutes.

There is only one set of video out. I just split the sgnal with a Y connector. Works fine.

Thanks for the info guv

well thats a pretty damn good service, ordered it and 100 blank dvd's on friday on the free supersaver delivery and it was with me this morning (monday) by 10am ..... if only I could be bothered to go out and fit it!
well fitted it and no problems with it atall except needing to swap the yellow and red wires on the plug so it didnt lose presets everytime it powered off :)

plays off usb stick no problem which is what I was after, impressive kit for virtually no money, thats what HUKD is all about :)
Hi Sorry to revive a long dead thread! I have one of the units and am interested to hear how you connected the screens. I can't see a video line out? Thanks Paul
