not very good reviews :whistling:

I buy these all the time - never had one go wrong, and that's out of at least hundreds, probably thousands.

All depends on your recorder: my pc dvd writer and dvd recorder must like them.
#6
ive used hundreds of these and buy them all the time, never had a coaster
#7
Yeah, not a bad deal!
#8
i bought these the other day, only had a problem when i tried burning using windows media player but i downloaded and started using nero and i have had no problems since.

Could someone tell me what the top of the disks are like? (i.e. what colour and are they nice and clear so you can write on them easily?)

The top of the disks are a sort of matt golden colour and can be written on.

It sure is reassuring to see many other companies selling cheap media.

I used to buy all my media from SVP but I have received a lot of duds from them recently, when I emailed them about the high fail rate and a possible refund they advised me to upgrade the firmware on my DVD writer. The DVD writer isn't even 3 months old!

They maybe right, even if your machine is new , manufacturers may release a new firmware to solve compatibility issues, if you are burning a lot of coasters on quality discs this could be the reason. you will find a lot of info here.

Nice one - well spotted - get through loads of these things. Thanks
#22
The newer the drive, the more likely it is to need a firmware update.
#23
Nice Deal But I submitted this couple of weeks ago, therefore duplicate

I use 2 dvd writers which I used the media on, never had any issues with either of them. One of them was new and the other one had the latest firmware flashed on it so I think it was the discs that were at fault.

The discs SVP supplied me also received a lot of bad reviews several weeks after I got them. I'm just ticked off that SVP refused to refund me and blamed my hardware for their bad discs when that was not the case.
#25
Ordered. That's a good price, as long as the quality's ok, should be fine!
Thanks OP!

Yes as mentioned above these are RitekF1 dye which seem to work a treat in some setups and is a nightmare in others, personally these don't work too well for me (discs freeze and skip on my dvd player) but as I say try a pack and they might be superb for your OWN setup.
#27
I've also been using these discs for ages and haven't had a problem at all. Voted hot.

Excuse being thick but whats the difference between the "+" and "-" discs? If my writer can accept both types and my DVD plays both types what should one use?
#31

No it's not! With delivery your offer is £8.22 at Amazon and they're not the same disks either.

i'm certain there plenty of places that could sell multiple packs that work out cheaper, but like myself there are plenty people who for them 50 are enough. :)

I've been using these disks for ages and have never had one single problem. Have you tried using something like AnyDVD as well to remove copy protection?
