From +2 To -7 in under 2 Minutes??? WTF and no reasons?

Maybe some people need to get a life! :x

or maybe "Explain their Actions"

No wonder some people "Stop" posting what they think are "Good Deals".

you have made yourself seem to be really stupid. Just sit back and watch, hopefully you will improve.

Moaning when a deal is voted cold is asking for the item to go even colder, if your not comfortable with criticism then yes maybe you shouldnt post here, BTW I havent voted either way just pointing out the facts of life on HUKD.

a throwaway comment like below has "lack of intelligence" written all over it and makes no sense whatsoever - i think the OP (Billyhl) has a very valid point -

this is the one that Argos sell, it is 139.99 at the moment there, I got it for 74.99 at Christmas, which reminds me I must take it back as it's broke again !!

You won't get this for cheaper, probably worth the risk on this ropey make but check their returns policy !!

I would love to know why :-

If a posted "deal" is hot, i am interested in why it is hot (Price and if i need it)

If a posted "deal" is cold, i would like to know why?, can i buy it somewhere cheaper?, is there something wrong with the product?

I am certainly not "moaning" about a deal being voted cold if there is good reason, i dont even mind being criticised if it is a really bad deal!, but if people vote cold "just for the hell of it" then that could affect someone buying certain products thinking that if others are voting cold then it must be a "Bad"deal.

Maybe i am wrong but i thought the whole idea of HUKD was to bring together any good or reasonable deals that could benefit others and then we discuss and vote as to whether it really is such a bargain?.

Thanks to any reasonable voters (hot or cold) who leave a reason so that others are guided by this, but for those that vote either way without any reasons you are not helping HUKD's members deciding if this or any other deal is really a "Deal".

regards to all Billyhl.

No freeview I believe so isn't it already obsolete ? Still an upscaler DVD player would cost close to this for a well known make?

Really depends on what you want I suppose.

The freeview version is the next deal down for £85, still good value compared to £149 in Argos, if it's what anyone wants

If this is only offering a 3 month warranty then no-one should go for it, mine just about latest 3 months then went and is going back to Argos.

Wouldn't be suprised if these are returns from Argos as they got plenty returned !!

I understand your frustration when members don't post there reason why so I'll let you know why I voted cold.

This Wharfedale model has a reputation for unreliability. I'm quite sure all of these are returns. They are not brand new. If BigPockets had any confidence in them they would provide a standard 12 month warranty, not a 3 month.

Cold voting can occur if an item has already been posted or found at a lower price. The latter usually comes with a posted link. I don't think these reasons apply to your post.

Posting an angry smiley and suggesting that unexplained cold voter's need to get a life may induce more cold votes. HUKD should be fun so don't let the hidden cold voter's get to you.

I agree. I tried a few deals, which were genuinely good deals - although not everyones cup of tea - and they they got voted cold for no reason.
It's all across the boards, unless it's a deal for some popularised rubbish, no one's interested.

There's always a reason why some vote cold, obviously! many of them can't be bothered to post their reasons why but it's absurd to think members vote cold for the sake of it.

Members who can't except that their post may be voted cold shouldn't bother posting on this site. All this whinging, get over it.

LOL! That's exactly what I thought after reading your previous post.

It's a shame that the odd few HUKD members aren't able to post constructive comments toward opposing views. Name calling even in it's mildest form isn't called for. It sounds defeatist anyway.

HUKD should be fun and light hearted. Enjoy it!
