This is a great price for The Long Good Friday: Anniversary Edition with the Bonus Cd - it's £6.99 delivered from HMV and the cheapest I can see elsewhere for this edition is about £11 - so this is a bargain if you like this movie. As always, I'll tell you the truth - I haven't seen it, maybe someone can offer thier views in the forum thread.
Details: London, the early 80s, gangland boss Harold (Bob Hoskins) has it easy, for 10 years everyone's got on and everyone's become rich. Now on the eve of the big deal that will see him become a legitimate businessman, Harold's world is about to be ripped apart. With the American Mafia in town looking to invest in Harold's plans to develop the abandoned docklands area he's relying on everything to go smoothly. Though a series of murders, explosions and near misses, which begin on Good Friday, put pay to his plans of a smooth deal. Infuriated by an enemy he can't see or find Harold sets about tearing up London looking for the perpetrators, but soon begins to realise that maybe it's someone from outside trying to muscle in and take over, but who would be big enough to take him on?
