Manufacturer's Description
Dyson - the cleaner that doesn't lose suction. Others clog. Ours don't

Root Cyclone technology - Patented Dyson technology. Doesn't clog so it doesn't lose suction. Dyson has developed a unique system that does not rely on filters or bags to separate dirt from air. Instead it uses powerful centrifugal force to spin the dirt out of the air, so theres no clogging and no loss of suction

Reversible Wand - for instant cleaning

Hepa filtration - Approved for allergy sufferers - All models carry the British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval

Self adjusting head - which automatically adjusts to different carpet heights

Trigger Bin release - for quick and hygienic emptying

No running costs - lifetime and no bags to buy. Filters particles as small as cigarette smoke and no need to replace - just wash every 6 months

5 Year Guarantee - Repeatedly tested for an equivalent 10 years of use to ensure durability. Dyson support on hand 7 days a week

Tough durable construction - Made from the strongest materials available to withstand bumps and bashes

Clear bin - Made from tough polycarbonate - the same material used in crash helmets - so it's strong and durable

Clean exhaust air - Air expelled from a Dyson contains up to 150 times less mould and bacteria than the air you breathe

voted hot because of price i paid 280 for it a couple of years ago

BUT I DIDNT THINK IT WAS ANY GOOD AT PICKING UP SO IVE BOUGHT A HENRY HOOVER (MUCH BETTER HOOVER IMO)
#3
I've always had Dysons (3 in all) but I got the DC07 purple and grey one, it's stopped picking up and I only purchased it in August! It came with 5 years guarantee so I have contacted Dyson via a letter and am awaiting a reply...........
#4
Henry's rule! Ive made him gag and choke many times and he just doesnt stop sucking!
#5
Currently have a henry and love it, great and picking up everything EXCEPT DOG HAIR. Is the Dyson better for pet hair? The current hands and knees with end of henry hose has to stop!
#6
While working in a shop (for Dyson) I spoke to someone who had a Henry and said it was rubbish for pet hair so he bought a Dyson...and he worked for Henry!
#7
Grat find, hot for me.

A friend's Dyson broke and he told me that he was extremely impressed with the at-home repair service. If you phone them they'll probably arrange a visit there and then.

I have no idea how people manage to rate Henrys above Dyson uprights for picking up. I've used both quite a lot and there is no comparison. Perhaps on hard floors the henry is preferable but on carpets?! The Henry seems quite superficial in action. The dyson is horrendously loud though.

Good price.

I dont have a pet... but good to know.

I could buy this but I would recommend the DC14 animal, much better at picking up hair (hence the name animal).
Would have been a good price though after m £32.50 in amazon vocuhers.
#12
I have this exact vacuum and love it.

Would never buy another hoover if its not a dyson. British designing at its best!
#13
Awesome price, my mum paid £199.99 for one of these from our town centre two months ago!.
#14
"henry,henry,henry"
#15
Bargain!
#16
For a Dyson, I think its cheap, so hot deal, but I think you are better off with a Bosch or Meilia (what ever it is), which online gave these better reviews than Hoover or Dyson. This was about 4 years ago mind.
#17
my vax, worst vacuum i ever bought blew up last night after a year... used to have a hoover, still going, left with the parents - gonna try this one out for size, thanks guys.
#18
I've got a DC14 Animal and it isn't that great. The little clear bendy pipe underneath keeps coming off (because there's nothing to hold it on - it just pushes on) and then it just spits the dirt back all over the place. I've not been impressed with it at all.
#19
we binned our dyson because it was too loud. Too embarrassed to use it. bought a bright orange sebo instead which is great.

can't possibly get any louder than my tesco direct vax lol

Great deal - our last Dyson has lasted 8 years and we've been looking to change it. Used my £2.50 hotdeals voucher too :)

Jesus, is this the alternative fanboy thread to the 360 Vs PS3 debate ? :whistling:

Its a hoover, who gives a toss if its not better than Henry or vice versa.

A Dyson 07 for £110 is a top price. Voted Hot.

Technically, it's a Vcauum Cleaner!!!!! ;-)

Voted Hot - we've got a Dyson and it's great. Got myself 3 matches so this works out at £107.50 delivered - bargain, and I might just be tempted te get one too!

Its only called "Animal" because it has a motorised small head attatchment that you can clean your sofa etc , its exactly the same as any other DC14

It's £109.99

PS: Henry is cheaper... http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/180811/henry-vacuum-cleaner-85-00-delivere/

I must be about the only person who thinks this is a **** hoover. After putting up with one for a year I need something different. Too noisey, too hard to handle (cannot get inder radiators or under tables even), and **** on wooden floors.

Hot price tho:-D

Dysons are cheap at the moment....wonder why?
#31
is this the all floors version??

and in answer to those asking about pet hair, my dyson (an old DC04 absolute - about 8 yrs old!) )is great for picking up the hair from my 2 dogs on carpets..
#32
i have a henry - great hoover but,
handy to have an upright aswell..... to save using all the tools etc..

also, i find it is so much quicker with an upright, not having to go round on your hands and kneez....

What do you use then? I've got a dyson and I think it is brilliant! Better then any other i've used.

Takes 5 mins to hoover a room.
#34
just ordered one as i have been wanting an upright for a while now.

and used my £2.50 amazon voucher too....
#35
Thanks Dave!!!

Wish I had looked at this yesterday. Mrs bought the exact same cleaner from Argos for £199 - even with the Dyson £50 off it was still way over the £110 here. She has just taken it back and I've ordered from Amazon for £110.

Thanks a million!
#36
Cheers OP, although our previous 2 dysons have developed faults, this one comes with a 5 year guarantee, so all should be good.

This is a bargain price, go for it!!!

Dysons from DC07 and later are made in the Far East and the exchange rate is very helpful.

The original DC04 and DC02 were UK made and consequently expensive. I keep my DC04 because it's solid.
#39
Our Dyson broke. We were going to get a Henry, but the reviews were mixed, plus we needed something that would pick up our pet's hair. Our dog could moult for England.

Didn't want another Dyson. Too overpriced, fragile and loud, so we got a Miele. Better at picking up the hair and above all quiet.
