EDIT: people are reporting that the DC19 is also available at the same price

Saw this instore in Weston Super Mare, they had 7 on the shelf, I looked online but it's £75 more! ( http://direct.asda.com/Dyson-DC14-Origin/001521791,default,pd.html )
I'll post pics in the comments, confirming the price

"The DC14 Origin is ideal for carpeted homes and features a brushbar to deep clean carpets, Quick-Draw Telescope Reach(TM) Wand, hygienic bin emptying, auto-adjust to carpet height and Root Cyclone Technology(TM) for constant powerful suction. With no bags or filters to buy there are no extra costs plus this vacuum is approved by the British Allergy Foundation."

Well more stupid them
The Dysons are massivley popular so consequently there are millions of these compared to other brands.
We live in throw away England most of the times these are easy fixes.

And If it does go wrong Dyson only charge a fixed price for a repair of £65
and that includes everything so you could effectifly burn the motor out and drop down the stairs and smash and they will fix everything for £65

Personally had a Dyson for 7 years and has cost me nothing

Like the look of this, am I right in thinking this isn't the 'ball' one? Desperate for a vacuum cleaner, don't know whether I should. Got friends near Weston, how many were left?

If this is nationwide you could get this cheaper at Currys using their Price Promise. They have it for £198.99 online.
They price match ASDA if you buy it instore !!!! and will give you 10% of the difference.
So thats another £9.89 off ??

Dyson upright and cylinder vacuums have a free 5 year parts and labour guarantee.
Their customer service is excellent.
IMO you can't go wrong

no point unless it has the ball (according to dyson)...in the dyson ad... it says you can only go in straight lines with wheels....are they not contradicting themselves by selling this?

voted hot... i just dont get their advertising pitch:?
#20
This is the older version, I think the DC24 is it's replacement(which we bought for around £164), hence why it's cheaper.

Still hot at that price, even though it doesn't have a ball. The brush bar is a really cool feature, I'm sure it helps get way more dust out of the carpets.
#21
I find Dysons are noisy and always develope a high pitched whine. I prefer bagged vacuums from Meile or Karcher

They claim the ball just makes it easier to maneuver (which i would agree with after running round Debenhams with one the other day!), not that the wheeled ones are useless

There's a big trade in ******ed ones because people get Dysons repaired hence they get brought up for spares all the other vacs go in landfill more often than not
#25
Voted hot as fantastic price.

Anybody buying one of these note they are very heavy which makes them good for cleaning carpets but a pain to move around. Also v difficult to clean inside a car with one as the stair-wand-flexible-hose-thingy is too long
#26
Voted Hot by me - great deal, none in Stevenage though

Personally, I think Dysons are well over-rated.

I bought one earlier this year so that I could keep my old Hoover upstairs to save trailing it up and down. To say I'm disappointed in it is an understatement. It picks up no better than my year old Hoover, the wand hose thing is so awkward to use, the crevice tool doesn't get in crevices (ooo err missus ;-)) because it's not straight, it's design means that it can't get under a lot of things that the Hoover can, it is very heavy and is so loud during use coupled with an annoying high pitched whine. I wish I'd asked around before I bought it, because most people I know who've had one wouldn't have another. After about 2 months I couldn't stand it any more, and sold it on and bought another Hoover.

This is a great price for a Dyson, ridiculously overpriced as they are, but IMHO peeps would be far better spending this amount of money on something else.

Norwich ASDA have both the DC14 and the DC19 (or did have, about 1 hour ago there were aprox 8 of each left), both at £100 (or £90 if you wife has a discount card!)

I went for the DC 19, heat and rep to the poster, this is a truley excellent deal.
