Hi robosaver, welcome to HUKD...

The stacking of codes is not advised.... sometimes the catalogue stores opt to charge you full price, and they can get away with it because of their T&Cs.... although on the other hand, sometimes it works ok for people.

Thanks :)

Dyson's are rubbish. They're just gimicks! Best off going for the most powerful Miele or a basic Henry. Will last you years and perfom well.

Whilst I would agree with you that a Miele is a superior vacuum cleaner to the Dyson SWMBO refuses to use a cylinder vacuum. Dyson's are the best of a bad bunch if you want an upright and our DC14 all floors is very good.

My wife isn't keen on the Miele we have and wants to return to a Dyson. Which? recommend them (DC14 particularly) but point out that they do suffer a lot of reliability problems but this is offset by the exceptional 5 year guarantee.

The newer models are much more reliable. Which? tend to base their reliability tests on older models, because they need tome to collect enough data. They wouldn't offer the 5 year guarantee unless they believed their machines were reliable enough. 5 yeras is a long time when you think of how much abuse these machines get!
