This is a good model.

The DC07 had very patchy reliability.

Some of it due to poor build (Dyson had must moved production from the UK and the new factory had quality control issues, e.g. poor quality plastic in the flexible hose etc.) So bad were the problem that on the this new model they have a 5 years parts and labour warantee.

Also the cyclone on this model is redesigned so it clogs less. Also the problems with overheating and thermal cutouts tripping etc have all been fixed.

Great model, great cleaner, great price!

Yes, I have one too, excellent.

I wouldn't be so keen to spend this in the Channel Islands though, and would look for a UK retailer, for County Court convenience if things go wrong, although I suppose I would be going through Dyson for the 5 year warranty, still, I tend to only buy low cost things in the Channel islands, ALMOST as strictly as my policy on buying goods totally abroad, where I limit it to a few quid I can afford to lose, at the likes of Dealextreme!

It can be got for under a fiver more inside the country:

Probably less with a bit of hunting around!

Obviously the smiley past you by then.

I wasn't criticising the OP, I was criticising his criticism of HUKD.

Actually voted this hot, FWIW.

Cheers
Simon
