Seems John Lewis have lowered their price to match other people, but it's now cheaper than anyone.

I'd always rather buy from John Lewis rather than DSG, and 'more then 10 in stock'

Other Retailers and Deals:
Argos: £173.99
Amazon: £173.99
Currys: £169.99

Note: The 5 year warranty is not a JL exclusive, you will get a manufacturers warranty regardless of where you buy it from.
Still the cheapest available.

Spec:
Shorter and more lightweight than a normal Dyson upright, the DC24 All Floors is no ordinary cleaner. Featuring its patented The Ball, the DC24 lets you steer your Dyson around the room far more smoothly. A small twist of the wrist turns the head around furniture and into awkward gaps, so cleaning is less of an effort. And reassuringly, youll still pick up as much as with a full-size upright Dyson vacuum.

As with other Dyson cleaners, the DC24 All Floors has Root Cyclone technology, which picks up large volumes of dust, and it's equipped with a lifetime washable HEPA post-motor filter with Bactisafe screen traps that retain the highest level of microscopic particles and kill bacteria.

In addition, the DC24 All Floors has a combination accessory brush and stair tool for picking up debris and fluff from confined spaces such as upholstery, stairs and the car. Suitable for all floors, the DC24 has a large debris channel to pick up bigger particles, brush control, which turns off the brush bar at the touch of a button, and a quick-release wand for reaching higher areas.

Dyson vacuum cleaners offer a free a 5-year warranty. To take up the offer, complete the application form you'll find in the box.

Fair comment, the 5 year warranty comes with it regardless of where you buy it from.

But still, this is the cheapest (if only by 99p) and I'm sure most people would prefer to buy from JL for their Customer Service record.

You'd seriously rather deal with DSG's customer service than John Lewis'?

That's if DSG is still trading when something goes wrong.

You've gotta conceed that John Lewis are less likely to go under than DSG.

Likelihood of going bust is a factor usually I suppose, (I got caught out with a TV from Allders when they went bust!) although with a 5 year warranty item in THIS case, it is Dyson going bust that is the greater worry, odds on they will be the most likely to fix a problem if you have one!

I would not like to deal with EITHER ideally.

On a personal basis, after a couple of uneventful but slow purchases from JL online, I have had more hassle with them in one purchase than with MANY purchases over many years with DSG, however I do accept that DSG are appalling, as found out by some hassles personally and MANY hassles received by friends and family.

In this particular case, for me, Currys are more "collectable" than JL, and I would sooner drill holes in my head than arrange a delivery from JL! but that in mind, well in this case Argos has to be the option, even for more money (But of course always depends on how far away stores are!) If I was wanting delivery, the extra from Amazon looks the better bet every time!

.... as you do with Amazon, and if past experience is anything to do with it, you might actually get it within days, not weeks!

Does anyone know of a particular reason as to why prices are generally higher now than when this deal was posted?

The cheapest deals are around the £180 mark which seems a lot compared to what they were.
