*To get this price you must have a Currys + Comet with stock nearby*

The RRP on this is about £250-£270
Comet have it on sale for £199
Comet currently have a 7% off code - 7DYSONCRASH
This means the price is currently £185.99

Currys sell the same vacuum for £249.99
Currys then pricematch and give you 10% of the difference.

So £249.99 - £70.40 = £179.59

Note: I reserved the dyson in Comet, then confirmed stock with Currys website. I took the Comet reservation to Currys, who correctly identified that although it was an online promotion code, it can be reserved in store at that price.

Despite all of this, they still ensured the 7DYSONCRASH code was working on the comet website at the time of purchase. Once that was confirmed they were happy to pricematch.

It may vary on store/store manager how far you get etc, as Currys customer services seemed to suggest they wouldn't pricematch the code(!)

So in summary:

Comet: £185.99
Currys with a bit of effort: £179.59

You could also try reserving at currys too, via quidco for another 3%, but I think the pricematch system is a manual effort, and they probably wouldn't bother confirming the ring and reserve collection on the system

Finally, as an alternative, you can get the DC33 Stubborn for £199 from Currys too, however, they are the same unit, you just get some stain spray stuff, and a "tough dirt" head which I'd already got.

Had 3 Dysons, never again! Better to put pay a little more and buy a 'Sebo X4 Extra', knocks spots off the Dyson in my experience.

If you prefer the cheaper option ... these are still available.

Dyson = Die Soon

Cheap tacky looking. Cheap tacky made.

As above, get a Sebo; they are to vacuum cleaners what Miele are to dishwashers/washing machines.

Buying a cheap Dyson is a false economy in the long run

Love Dyson - we've just bought a DC25 to replace the DC04 which we've had for years (and that was only because OH is obsessed with Tesco points and was getting 3000 points plus money off for the new one). Never had any problems with them. Good deal.

If you believe Dysons are so bad why on earth did you buy another two of them after your first experience?

The Sebo is not a bad upright if you don't mind the fact that it's not bagless and that it falls over as soon as you try to use the hose.
