Product details:-
The Dyson DC34 is a lightweight handheld vacuum cleaner that operates without a cord, removing pet hair easily and efficiently. With a wide debris nozzle/brush tool, the DC34 is perfect for keeping surfaces free of large dirt and dust particles.

The DC34 uses Dyson’s Root Cyclone™ technology, so it doesn’t lose suction as you clean. It runs off a 22.2V lithium-ion battery, that doesn’t fade during use and recharges up to 3 times faster than conventional lithium-ion batteries. The 0.35L dust bin on the DC35 can be emptied at the touch of a button for easy, hygienic dirt removal.

Complete with a crevice tool, the DC34 handheld vacuum cleaner can also be used to clean skirting boards, picture rails and furniture crevices.

The Dyson DC34 cordless vacuum cleaner carries a 2-year guarantee for parts and labour.

Google search for "Dyson DC34". The first option from Dyson website is showing "It is now Obsolete"?

2012 Model, I wonder if the Li Ion battery will have deteriorated after 5 years?

Had one six months or so ago when this price in Currys. Great little cleaner saves getting the big Dyson out. Last about 15mins on a full charge which is plenty to do the car or stairs.

Need a good quality stick vacuum with proper suction, unfortunately, this Dyson one is a bit pricey
#24
I'm tempted but not sure whether it's worth paying extra and getting a refurbished deal on v6 animal or total and just replacing my heavy but trusted vax 5130.....decisions.

I've had one of these for years and the battery is still going strong. I had to buy a replacement charger a couple of years ago though. Its a great little handheld. The only thing that bugs me is you have to keep the button pressed in while you vac. Also please be aware that the motorised head tools that you can buy will not work with this model as it doesn't have the driver. I checked with Dyson when I was looking at buying one a while ago.

Got from Dyson themselves a month or so back, worth every penny, great to have if you don't have like a full detached house to clean up

We have both and while the V6 Animal is a far better beast (excuse the pun), if it's worth two thirds of the price again is debatable. Aren't you better saying get the V8 over the V6 as well. The DC34 is fine for lesser roles, still much better than I expected and better for things like the car than that horrible Black and Decker PAD1200 that keeps getting posted.

Thanks. Bought this for the stairs and the area around the cat litter tray.

Excellent price. I love mine, gets used all the time. It's well worth buying the dock for this. keeps it neatly on the wall charging ready for use

Dyson for portability, Henry for everything else.

Excellent for car, stairs, and hard to reach places etc. I bought a second equivalent (not Dyson) battery off Ebay for about £20 which has worked fine. I took out the screw that holds the battery in place on the Dyson and push in a small plug to hold it in place instead. It allows me to quickly swap out the batteries when in use.

Suction remains at a constant level until battery has lost its charge, so no 'die off' as you put it.
