Lasts 4 minutes on full power.
Not so good if wanting to clean your car.

I'd like one of these, but the battery seems poor in my opinion, what are owners opinions? I can't imagine doing the car in 4 mins!

This isn't designed to clean a completely dirty car, but rather just get up the crumbs and such after the kids have been in it.

If you want to vacuum the car, buy the right tool for the job. This isn't it.

15mins on normal power, 6mins on high. If it lasted much longer you would only end up with cramp in your finger.
I have one, it is fantastic, wouldn't want to be without it.

"DC34 delivers 15 minutes of powerful, constant suction – or 6 minutes on Boost mode for tougher cleans. It's powered by the Dyson digital motor, which spins up to 5 times faster than a racing car engine. DC34 has a lithium-ion battery that recharges up to 3 times faster than others, and Dyson's patented Root Cyclone™ technology for no loss of suction."

"Dual power mode 15 minutes of high constant suction or 6 minutes on MAX power"

Just stick it back on charge after you've done. I can't imagine a car will need the max power setting.

Was thinking about getting the V6 Car and Boat for £169.99. But this is so tempting as I've got an eBay voucher which will make this at £62.49.

How did you get a voucher? Is there a code knocking about?

Haha, I couldn't help but read that without imagining you speaking with the voice of a desperate drug addict :D
They probably mean like a gift voucher, not a money off code.

Ordered. Perfect for odd spills when you can't be bothered to get the full sized Dyson out! I would never have paid the new price for one of these so this is brilliant especially having kids! Thanks OP HEAT!

This is a great little tool for bits n bobs on the floor. Im a childminder and I use it 2-3 times a day. I agree not the best for the car, but for jobs where you can't be arsed getting the big Dyson out - its a great bargain. Best sucking hand held device out there !!!!!!!!!!!! I paid full price for it 5 years ago. Still going strong now .

This is a fantastic deal.

Please can someone who has bought this help me with a question - given it's refurbished, have you noticed a shorter run time with the battery, faster deterioration of charge held over time etc?

My concern is that if the battery fails right after the one year guarantee period, the original replacement from Dyson is a whopping 60 quid! There are many reports of 3rd party batteries on Amazon and the 'bay failing within a few weeks.

Many thanks in advance.

Youre right it says v6 trigger lasts 1.5× more than dc34, in that case i wouldnt bother with the dc34 at all. Also i didnt know its more expensive as i got it free to review.

Depends on how large and how dirty your car is!

This is probably the best buy I have made. Use it all the time, think it's run out of battery before I finished job once in 3 years. I Hoover my car every week with it coz it's so easy (used to do it about once a month) so 15 mins is plenty time. I am still gobsmacked that when my kids drop crumbs etc in their room they come down, get this and clean up. No way would they do this with a full size Hoover. In terms of vouchers/codes I've transferred my nectar points to eBay vouchers - haven't looked at this deal but might be able to use them here.

Calm down mate, it's only a cleaning device.
No. It's a hoover.

Hoover is a brand actually. It's a vacuum.

No, it's a vacuum. Hoover is a brand.

Since we are all having an English Class:

What is the difference between a hoover and vaccum?
Hoover is a synonym of vacuum.
As nouns the difference between hoover and vacuum is that hoover is a vacuum cleaner (irrespective of brand) while vacuum is a region of space that contains no matter.
As verbs the difference between hoover and vacuum is that hoover is (british) to clean (a room, etc) with a vacuum cleaner, irrespective of brand while vacuum is to clean (something) with a vacuum cleaner.

Well if it's a brand then it's not a vacuum. :p

Either way, I've got a couple because we always have dirty dishes and they need cleaning.
