I have a Henry and it sucks; I mean it is rubbish. It's size and shape makes it impractical to move around, especially on stairs. It falls over easily and the nozzle is cheap and weak.

The hose is in the handle, it pulls up and off for doing stairs etc

I bought my DC40 Multifloor during the final Tesco Clubcard boost. From memory the price was as per this listing and then there was the boost.
These vacuums are not nearly as manoeuverable as they would have you believe and whilst some people love them, others hate them. I don't mind it actually, but it does take some getting used to.
Bear in mind that the dust collection unit is very small and so you will need to empty it every second usage or so. The filters should be cleaned every month, but it is an easy task and so should be no issue.
The power lead is a bit shorter than my previous Dyson and that is a bit of a pain as it means I now have to unplug half way through the task and change to another plug.
One thing that everybody does like about this model is that it is powerful and has very good suction. I think they also come with a five year warranty, as mine did.

Is this the same year model as currys Tesco etc as theirs is yellow not blue dc40?

If u have ever had a dyson before call dyson direct as they give 'loyalty discount' to customers who have ever registered a dyson with them before

They're exactly the same unit apart from the turbine tool. It's good for stairs / pet hair etc but that's about it.

Is it any good?
#22
Yeah. Better suction then the DC04 it replaced. I only vacuumed the day before and it got more dust out. Takes a bit of getting used to manoeuvring it, but so far so good. As said before, the only difference between this and other variants is you don't get the turbine tool.

I bought a refurbed DC41 mk2 from the Dyson eBay outlet for £159.99 delivered.
I couldn't tell it had been refurbished at all - and when I registered the warranty with dyson it extended the warranty for 5 years - which makes me think it was actually a new machine and not a refurb, as the new machines get the extended 5 year warranty, the refurbs are only supposed to be extended to 2 years. The extended warranty uses the machines serial number and I'd guess I got a brand new machine in a refurb box for a refurb price.
Dyson eBay outlet prices change every week so worth checking back to see what the offers are.
