Having checked the Dyson Website it would seem that the "Wand" is not included or available for this model.

That would probably be the battery. Have you checked if they are a replaceable item?:p

Good price. Shame it's not one of the 'animal' range but I'm sure a lot will still like this one. Heat

Excellent deal, especially with the additional tools that are included!

Come with the following extras:

Combination tool
Crevice tool
Soft dusting brush
Extendable hose

I would have thought that the wands from other models may fit. The attachment looks the same as out DC35, and ours has the wand.

That is a different vacuum entirely. Stop trolling.

ordered for my mum, thanks op.
will have to take back the DC34 i bought for around 140 last week, the specs of the 2 seem identical with this one being slightly newer.

Good price on the dyson floor kit at curry's (after a quick look I couldn't find cheaper) http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/home-appliances/vacuum-cleaners/vacuum-accessories/dyson-cordless-tool-kit-19394348-pdt.html

EDIT: Most of the tools listed above with the tool kit comes with it!

Have been looking for reviews and it does appear like this one was originally launched as a sweep+mop solution. Somehow - and maybe the amazon.com reviews mentioned above point to that reason - it has now been rebranded to 56H instead of 56 Hard, without the mop spares coming with it.

An old Which review here http://www.which.co.uk/news/2013/11/which-tries-out-dyson-hard-vac-and-floor-cleaner-339557/

Thanks op! Not sure if I needed this but it sure looks useful haha. :) Free tools are a great bonus at this price as they're not cheap seperately!

Looks like it actually comes with most of these so, that is one saving, be nice if you could buy the long pole brush head that is on the cordless vacuum cleaner version.

These are great.
No you don't get the extension pipe with this.
For that you will need DC35.

This would be great if you could attach the long wand and floor tool, but I think it won't work - the floor tools are powered and the original hard floor head that came with this as DC56 is not powered, so I suspect that while you can get a wand, and indeed the wands from other cordless Dysons would maybe fit, the power supply to the floor tool will not be there.

You can get a non-powered head that looks like a floor tool, but I doubt it would work very well.

Ordered one,

In the box just after checking out it does state that it includes a extendable hose.
If thats what you're after

Hopefully you've cleaned the filter occasionally.
It's not likely to be the battery (as lithium ion ones don't really "weaken" like that; most likely been sucking up fluff when overfull, causing a blockage in the middle of the small cyclone cluster. (My OH did this with one of the same design. I took it apart for thorough maintenance one day and found the build up.)
#32
Have had a dc30 for several years and with two little kids, has been an ideal addition and really can't fault suction power at all. people need to realise it's not a proper full size Hoover.
#33
great find OP - heat added
#34
Is this the same base unit as the 58 and 59 just with different accessories, so the newer more powerful version of the 30 that's been out a couple of years?
#35
I have an older dyson animal handheld. Cant remember the number but its purple. I use it a lot,and its ideal for stair carpet and cleaning the car. It is also used for quick clean ups.

I was advised by someone from dyson to only ever charge it once it fully runs out (I was charging it more or less after every use so battery didn't last)
They sent me a new one and its been great since. Mine has the motorised tool as an extra which I wouldn't be without. It gives extra power, which is idea;
I get 15 mins on normal option and around 6-7 on extra high which is still enough for doing the car or as mentioned my stair carpets. It saves me having to lug the upright ball dyson up and down :)

Mine ran out near enough completely after around 10 months, I was advised it was either the connectors or the battery. Turns out it was the battery as I was charging it too much,I always just plugged it in after most uses. Was advised just to charge when it actually ran out and new battery has been great since. They also sent me a main body free so I basically ended up with 2 after buying a new container.

Just bought one, I was nearly ready to purchase the DC34, luckily I seen this offer. Great find op!
#39
Great find OP. Been discussing this with colleagues at work and the accessories included with this themselves cost about 25% of the price. One of my colleagues has the 58 Animal with the motorized head but doesn't have two of the accessories that come with this. And he paid double the cost for that.

Well worth it!

Ive just got the DC59 its the one with the long handle, seems to be keeping my husband amused and doing housework as well so must be good :p
We got a Gtec a few years back it did the job, not sure what the new ones are like.

Personally would like the DC59 with a cable then wouldn't have to keep recharging
