Great price from Hughes.

PRODUCT DETAILS

The V6 Top dog is a small and compact powerful bagless handheld vacuum cleaner that features a digital v6 motor which will create one of the most powerful handheld vacuums around.

The motor has been designed to be small enough to fit into a handheld vacuum and won't lose any power, making it perfect for any household. Also being lightweight it makes it easy to carry around with you.

The V6 top dog uses patented cyclone technology which will give the vacuum an increased airflow, this giving you a better suction and the ability for dust particles that may easily get missed.

Emptying the 0.4 litre dustbin is quick and simple all at just a push of a button. It can be used on all floor types and can remove dirt and dust from carpets, wood floors, laminate, tiles and stone floors all with a minimum amount of fuss.

In the box, you get a mini motorised tool for upholstery, a combination tool and a rigid crevice tool for corners. There is also a stubborn dirt brush for those times when you need the stiff bristles for removing mud and dried in dirt.

Code: HUGHES3 gets it for £125

Is this the new one and isn't the colour purple
No the newest one is the v8 - Lasts twice as long, also different tool attachment mechanism (easier)
V8 is a bargain, only £400.......
I didn't say it was cheap lol, I was just replying to someone that was asking if this was the new one.

Has anyone got 0 to 60 times for the V8?

Free 2 year guarantee @ John Hughes also. I think all Dyson V6 comes with a 2 yr guarantee.

this one has the mini motorised tool,
John Lewis's does not
Dyson keep removing this tool from the various offerings and dropping the price so beware
This is a much better deal

I have one already and love it, very light weight and ideal for me to hoover up myself as I'm disabled.

Daughter wants one for Christmas so looking for best deal.

If you thinking about it go get it you won't look back, had a upright dyson and many a time when doing the stairs it would loose balance and fall down stairs with me attached, as it was weighty.

This only shows short tools, I take it it's no good for floors unless you want to get on your hands and knees?

Looks really good, but is it really a lot different to a vax or other "dust buster" style machine?

My sister has one of these and it's not bad to be honest in terms of suction/dirt cleaning...great for cars...not sure if I would buy one myself as I prefer my Miele but it is a decent cleaner!

Can you get an extension wand for this model to make it into a stick vacuum?

If only it had the stick and the possibility to Hoover standing up instead of grouching the floor in your knees every time you wanted to clean the floor but unfortunately it doesn't but if it did I would've ordered it in a instant heat for the price but for the price they shoulda put stick on

My mum has one of these - absolute garbage if it's your only vacuum but ok if its an additional backup vacuum. Low power mode(not enough power) lasts 20 mins and high power mode(normal power) lasts a massive 7 mins!

Would this come with the long extension (long brush). If not can I get one for one of these

They are not meant to be a replacement for a full size vacuum.

Picking mine up in a bit; apparently £169 in-store.

I got a spare battery to swap out when the first gets low. You can get a Dyson original one or a copy. I got copy and have had no problems with it.

Is this like the DC34 or the DC58 animal, or neither?

I don't think this comes with the long pole or larger motorised head. I bought a v6 cordless (with the longer pole etc) on dyson outlet on ebay recently. £144. I had bought myself the absolute but decided to buy someone the regular v6. They're refurbs, but very new looking! I think the 20% off deal has ended, but might come up again. I paid £214 for the V6 absolute, that was 'full price' on there for the refurb in late August. The price had gone up then the 20% sale so it could be worth keeping an eye on the dyson ebay outlet just to see.

Just picked mine up too and we tested the V6 Animal wand and Motorised Cleaner Head with a V6 Trigger (the display Top Dog had no charge); the motorised head powered up just fine and the fittings were all correct. Can't comment on the longevity of using the wand/motorised head with a lower powered device like the Top Dog but yes it works.

Fits docking station too.

Not the best review on Amazon:
V6 Top Dog
All the V6 handhelds are the same in terms of power etc, the difference lies in the tools they come with and this one is well equipped in that regard.

1 review out of how many sold? Remember more people are likely to review something they dislike, rather than something they like. I've had the DC 30 since it was launched and never had a problem with it. This is more powerful than the one I have, so if you think of it as a handheld vacuum for the occasional spills. Rather than a replacement for the big bulky vacuum you already have, then it will does as it says.
