I'm struggling to work out which v6 this is. It states it is reduced from £319, Argos have a v6 at £319 so I assumed it was this. However, Argos also do a v6 for £199 which looks the same!! Could someone enlighten me as I've been wanting one of these for some time but now I'm simply confused!! Voted hot though as price definitely great either way! Any helpful comments appreciated!

Dyson Model Number 208179-01
their basic one and yes the one one is for £199 on offer at other places.

also for info copied and pasted from one of the reviews on amazon:
I like to set this straight for everyone looking into this. Buying this was so confusing because there are 5 versions of Dyson V6: Absolute (pink), Clean (red), Fluffy (blue), Animal (purple) and Standard (White). I bought the V6 Absolute but I want to share my experience here to help you decide the right version for you.
The difference among the Dyson v6 versions:
Standard - has a 20w motorhead attachment, this is the weakest of the series and a crevice tool
Animal - same motorhead attachment as the standard. In addition it has a mini motorhead for pets
Fluffy - has all the above and one additional soft brush attachment specifically designed for bare / hardwood floors
Clean - has all the above but a more powerful 35w direct-drive cleaner head - which replaces the standard 20w motorhead.
Absolute - has the mini pet tool as above, a more powerful 50w direct-drive than the Cleaner, and oddly, a very plain / simple attachment with silicon wipes for hardwood floors instead of soft brush attachment. In addition it has a Hepa filter at the motor exhaust - this also makes it a little heavier. All this will make the battery work a lot harder than the lower end versions.

I just bought one from dyson ebay outlet store. quite a bit cheaper there. Refurbished but does come with a 1 year dyson warranty instead of the 2 years with this deal

Not sure that's true about the absolute battery working much harder. Quoted battery life is the same, so the direct drive brush head might just be more efficient.

No it's not. Your link is for hand held without the stick / floor ability without getting on your hands and knees!!

I would think twice about buying a refurb tbh, my DC59 was brand new with a 2 year warranty & everything seemed ok for the first 12 months & then i needed the main body replacing & then the head went. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread when i first got it then it just seemed to be a pain, spent most of my time unblocking the thing & cleaning filters out. We ended up getting a Shark powerhead for everyday cleaning & although it does have a cord it's a country mile better than the Dyson & you don't spend most of your time messing about with the thing. Must say though can't fault Dyson customer service when we did have a fault.

does not appear to have the mini motorised head
usual dyson trick to cut the price

Ahh fair enough, would it not be cheaper to buy the pole bit separater, assuming the motor and battery is the same?
