Sold my copy of BF4 for £20 this morning. I personally can't go wrong with this, sign up for 12 months for £19.99, get BF4 back and a bunch of other EA games for the next 12 months that I haven't played.

Surely it would of been nice to have the choice though and not have Sony make it for you...

Though this does mean you will never see an EA game with Games with Gold now.

hmmm interesting....assume gold membership also required?

Will be good if you don't mind waiting 6+ months for the yearly franchise games to be on it

This. Kinda glad Playstation passed on this. PS+ will still get EA games and it stops Ubisoft and others from doing the same thing...

I think for the first 2 months or so this will look better value than PS+ but after that I'm not sure which direction they are going to take it and reading I don't think they are too sure yet.

Sony only passed as they will be launching their own PlayStation Now service. Neither will stop Ubi getting on-board, after all they own the rights to their games and if they do not want them on PS+ or PSNow then they wont be.

Same goes for EA.

Gold membership is NOT required for using games in the vault.

It's a good deal, considering you would struggle to get a copy of BF4 for less than 12 months subscription to this service

I'll personally be getting this Day 1, and I'll vote Hot, but I feel the masses of HUKD will vote it cold as
1 - It's EA (Boo, hiss, get the pitchforks)
2 - There's only 4 oldish (6 months+) games available at launch.

Still, I don't have Madden and have wanted it for a while. £3.99 a month (Hopefully they give us annual subs soon too) to play Madden, as well as any games they add in the future, doesn't seem too bad. Don't really care that the new one is out in a month, doubt I could name you more than 5 current NFL players, so team updates don't really interest me, and Madden innovates less than FIFA with each game.

As Dealspawn said in their article, this is probably the shape of things to come. I actually see this as more promising than PS plus, as the Beta pricing model in the states is really rather poor.

Is that confirmed? From what I was reading earlier, they had only announced the monthly sub for the U.K, and the U.S got the $29.99 annual sub option. If that's true it's great value, and it means E.A are one of the few companies able to convert Dollars to Pounds. Scary world we live in....

Edit - Nevermind, just re-checked and they added the annual sub to the FAQs. The Sims 2 completely free last week and now they're offering a decent subscription service? WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE AND WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO E.A?!

Fifa 15, NHL 15 & Madden 15 have all been confirmed with 5 days early access. There is a limit on the time you can put in to them though. Details are a bit sketchy.

New games will not come on release dates, I reckon you'll be looking around 6-7 months.

Peggle 2 costs £10 on it's own. I'm in!
#21
I'll probably end up giving it a go for a year as £20 isn't a lot (BF4 is more than that used). The discount isn't that great though seeing as the digital store is a complete rip off.

"Titanfall excluded from all EA Access features"

I wonder why that franchise is excluded.

Of course, but giving early access is a nice benefit. Means I can try games, buy the ones I really like, carry over my progress, then wait for the others to be available in a few months time.

There would never be a service for £20 that gives you all their newest games at launch.

You must be new to the internet!, anything with EA gets flak, default setting.

It should be a no brainer if you don't already own any of the vault games.

I am in the preview, and can confirm the price is 19.99 for 12 months

It's E.A, they could hand out free puppies, with the catch you need to buy a collar a few days later, and people would cry for blood.

They're a company people. If they're not trying to shaft the consumer for personal gain, their board would have the executives hanging from their office windows. Cd Projeckt Red are great, but they can be awesome because they're relatively small. The larger the company, the worse they have to treat their customers. No point crying about it and boycotting them, it's basic business.

By anyone, not in regards to the AAA market anyway.

Fantastic deal for £20 a year! No real interest from me though as apart from Dragon Age which I plan to buy, the only other games that will be on it will be FIFA and other sports games which I have no interest in.

This is so hot even if the vault gets the game 6 months after release for £20 a year u can pick up and drop games as you like im loving this
#33
This is all going to depend on what games are going to be available. You can count out brand new titles and probably some AAA's. It's more likely a tactic to suppress the second hand market.
#34
IBrand new titles are bound to be excluded for a period of time as that would be the same as films appearing on Netflix/Amazon instant video the same day they are released in the cinema.
#35
With a name like The Vault, it's pretty obvious this will be mostly last year's titles. All the "15" games will likely be available only when the "16" games are due to come out. Still, for the non-yearly titles, this is still a good deal, so certainly deserves to go hot

I wouldn't be so sure about PS+ getting EA games, if EA are serious about pushing this subscription then they're going to shift all their free games to their own service. Sony have basically attacked the service by saying it doesn't represent value for money (even if it is PR talk to protect their own interests), not exactly the kind of thing EA will take too kindly to though.

will we be able to use microsoft points to get the subscription off live or buy a sub code from a GAME store

I'd be surprised if no EA games appeared on PS Plus. EA have looked completely biased towards Microsoft since the launch of the X1, so surely they'd want to get away from that image as opposed to making it look worse.

a friend of mine had tried the beta of this. said you get 10% off digital games on ps store now 50 instead of 60. terrible from ea. 2
