Works very well. There is an Xbox one left in the Livingston Almondvale store. The Eurogamer review advises that the PS3 version is the best, Which is what i bought.

what do you think of it scott? worth £40?
#2
it's goooooood. got one from ea (christmas day offer)
#3
Wish I saw it when it was £19.99!

I'm a bit Lardy so it was tough on medium intensity but it reckons i burned 240 calories in 27 mins. Feels like you are really getting a work out too, With my heart rate peaking at 159 average 119.

It didn't lose synch once and it really does know when you are not doing what you are supposed to.

Stats in the game and on the EA website are interesting too. Gives a good idea of how you are doing.

So far so good i think.
#5
better on the ps3? surely it would be better on xbox as it works with kinect, any reason why eurogamer prefers the ps3 version? i duno which to get
#6
The kinect loses you when you do floor exercises and it brings the jukebox up by accident apparently. Id have preferred the xbox version but ive got the bare minimum of room for kinect so didnt expect it to work too well.
#7
its actually going back up to £62.99 in the morning! :(
#8
Really good game/workout!
#9
I also have this, really good, and lots of fun.

which one is better "your shape evolved" or EA fitness 2??

Kinect is shown up for what it really is in this "game" definitely get the PC or PS3 versions if they exist . Took mine back the very next day . Kinect is only good if you have some drunken birds back to yours for a bit of a fumble on Just Dance (you actually feel like your Movements are being tracked on that one ) or if you have 4-8 year old kids .
#12
Yeah, we've got it on Kinect and you need the Xbox controller as well otherwise navigating the menus is a pain.

fan boyism much?
i personally think kinect is a lot of fun and this game is fine with kinect works fine, if it was wrong for you obviously your doing something wrong.

The workouts in this are better than I expected although it definitely needs more space than other kinect games i've played. Too little space and I was getting issues with it tracking me when doing the floor exercises.

Same here - no problems, and this one is quite good - seems to track well, and is good at the routines. Have gone for the 9 week program in the hope that i can get some kind of fitness back :D
#16
This is still £39.99 at Morrisons, I got it for PS3 a couple of weeks ago, but I saw it in Morrisons today still at that price, would recommend it, good fun and a good, varied workout.

Ditto, it is not bad once you get past the frankly awful menu controls, using Kinect only it works really well,as soon as you have to use a controller it is naff.

The interface is awful to be honest and the manual is not any better, but it works and is fun, on balance worth£40-£45 but not full price got mine from Argos on boxing day for £45.

And there are no instructions at all about how to put the resistance bands together.

The Kinect version has already been patched by EA with a 2nd patch coming before the end of Feb which will resolve any tracking issues as well as menu navigation, so no worries there. In the meantime, you just need to turn off the voice recognitionso that it doesnt bring up the jukebox menu. The issues have not been with Kinect, more that EA rushed the game to market before christmas and are fixing it now.

For all connected PS3 and Kinect for the Xbox 360 users - a free title update for EA SPORTS Active 2 will be available on December 17th! The title update will improve some of the issues that you – our community - have raised for us. The biggest key issue that will be included in this update will ensure that all workout groups created at http://www.easportsactive.com will also show up on your EA SPORTS Active 2 console experience. For more information on updates – please take a look at the list of available updates posted on in our forum. Please keep sending us feedback and we will try our best to include whatever we can in our next update coming in late February. For our loyal Wii users - please let us know if you have any feedback and we will try and help you as much as we can! Unfortunately – title updates will not be available for this platform.

Fixes:
• If a workout group was created at http://www.easportsactive.com – it will now appear in product
• Fixed a known crash that would occur when creating a new profile and uploading it to the online server in some instances.
• Issues when booting up with a controller other than controller 1 have been amended (ie: runners would not sprint) on PS3.
• “Obtaining EA server data” pop-up has been replaced by a spinning icon.
• The "Show Me How" and "Jukebox" speech recognition commands in the Kinect version have now been disabled. These can be accessed with the controller.
• Eased issues when trying to access Store screen.
• Small grammatical errors and missing/extra words have been amended.
• Some localization issues – in particular with Spanish versions have been fixed.
• Amended some issues from specific preset workouts not awarding points.
• Improved detection for Alternating Side Lunges in the PS3 experience.
• Updates to achievements that were missing the goal number of exercises
• Updated some errors in Fitness Tracker data in the graph screen
• Note has been added to ensure that ONLY MP3 files are used for Custom Playlist.
• Rarely, EASA 2 would crash when manually skipping exercises in a workout.
• English Speech Navigation in the Kinect product has now been activated for all regions on the North American version of EASA 2.

Known Issues: We are still working on the below list of issues for the next title update.

Kinect for Xbox 360
• Remaining Kinect crashes are being fixed
• Menu cursor is being improved
• Floor exercises are being improved
• Playlist music will be randomized
• Improve the quit challenge popup (to avoid accidental selection)

PS3
• Fix the freeze when completing the Fitness Test (German language)
• Fix the end of workout hang
• Playlist music will be randomized
• Improve the quit challenge popup (to avoid accidental selection)

Status: The above list should be remedied in the title update coming in late February. More information to follow in the New Year.

this was still 62.99 in morrisons on friday in grimsby.

Great price! Still on 'sale' on same places for £60! (ie HMV!). I managed to get one for £19.99 but this is definitely the next best as I doubt it will be £19.99 again anytime soon.

In my opinion, the game/software/whatever you want to call it, is actually pretty good! The workouts are excellent and after a 20 minute simple workout I definitely felt like I had had a good workout. My only gripe is the graphics and menu system. Graphics are rubbish, they look almost previous-gen, but it's not bad enough to be an issue.

I originally got this for Xbox and Kinect, but after hearing about all the poor reviews compared to the PS3 version, I swapped it for the PS3 version instead. Very pleased as I don't need to re-arrange my living room every time I want to use it (which hopefully will be nearly every day) like I would have had to do if I had got the Kinect version.

For Kinect, I've read that Your Shape is a lot better, so I'm thinking of trying that one out too. However Your Shape cannot measure your heart rate which I feel is a huge feature.

Anyway, for anyone wanting to lose weight or keep fit, and is willing to dedicate some time every other day, then go get this as its an excellent price!

Got mine on Friday which was handy because I had the 5 pound off a 30 pound spend from the christmas offer and also 5 pound off due to fuel refills so only ended up paying 29.99, My local store had sold out but the bloke behind the counter said more were coming in but to check other nearby stores with customer services just in case because the price was going back up on Thursday

Played this for the first time tonight with kinect, really good and it felt like I'd done some proper exercise after it

Only gripe I have is it doesn't show you how to put the resistance band together, how have anyone here that's got it done it?

And can you buy the heart monitors and bands separately?

Kinect doesn't track you properly both cams work the same as they both use basic body tracking nothing special. So both versions are the same it works off the strap accessory to read everything rather than the cam.

If you don't have at least a six by eight-foot space and if you can't have your Kinect sensor around three to four feet off the ground, you can expect it to lose you during any exercises you have to do on the ground. It's rage-inducing to have to stand up and lie down repeatedly to do crunches all because the sensor isn't working correctly, or worse yet have to do twice as many of the recommend exercise because it's only acknowledging you half the time. I'm not saying it's completely broken, but it does require some very specific conditions to have it function (mostly) flawlessly.

Navigating the menus is also a pain in the ass if you only want to use Kinect. It's clunky, with a combination of oversensitive motion controls and small menu items that make it a task to hold your hand over them long enough to select them. The voice controls can alleviate this somewhat, but your Kinect can't be close to your speakers otherwise you'll have to scream at it to get it to recognize you.

they must have not realised it went back down after going back up to full price following the £19.99 mistake!

doesnt matter now anyway as its £62.99, as i said earlier before this got hot! yet everyones kept voting hot even though it ended.

what i would say though is i'm disapointed in everyone! its been £39.99 for like 3 weeks & we have only sold 1 xbox version! even when it went down to £19.99 for a day we only sold 2 ps3 & i bought 1 of them!
