There have been some issues wth the heart rate monitor, not connecting/dropping out (See EA forum) however with a hardware update and following some weird steps via EA forum it seems to work a lot better now, still drops off a bit and get s through batteries!!! You will need to invest in some rechargable AAA's

All in all better than Wii fit and Ea Active 1, so yep. It's good!

Same as bauk. Nabbed this from Morrisons for £19.99 for PS3 and got £39 cash for it from CeX. I would've kept it if they had 360 copies in stock for Kinect.

I paid full price on release as well so this is a fab offer. I've got it on PS3 and have done several workouts now.

I like the addition of the heart rate monitor but I think that there are more glitches in it than in version 1 on the Wii, for example several times I'll do a rep and it doesn't register properly so I have to keep repeating.... Also, you'll be doing a walk and it'll say you need to keep up even though you are well ahead of the trainer. Or you get to the end of a walk and it'll say, "that was a great run". Loads of little things like that really.

All in all I don't think it's that much better than the original wii version, yet it's 3 or 4 times the price!!! The only bonus for me is I sold the Wii and it means I can now play it on the PS3.

I have yourshape kinect on xbox, does anyone have yourshape and this game? Which is better? Is it worth me also getting this? As enjoying yourshape so far but is it worth me splashing the cash for this also?

my personal opinion of this game is 'meh'
heartrate sensor does not work at all, and the sensors are not that precise. good thing I bought in the morrisons deal, would have been well p*ssed if I had paid full price.

From experience of using this for a while, I have to say that the heart rate sensor for me works, there is an issue with some of them (as seen on the EA SA2 forums) but my version seems to work fine. Initially there were a few server problems with uploading workout data but its great once you get going and in to it.

If I had my chance again, I wouldn't of bought it for £60, I would of waited for the price to drop.

Nevertheless is a great way to workout and my version on the PS3 was very stable. :)

Also in store if nobody has mentioned this before.
Couldn't be bothered to check all the replies.

Give it a month or so and the price will tumble to around the £20 mark anyway. This genre never holds its price.

The workouts are good, there's a nice variety of them, you have the option of doing a program over many weeks or building your own custom workout sets. All the exercising bit is good and it's got me doing more exercise (I work from home).

However, the game is buggy as hell - such as the comments above, it really has some of the worst automated responses I've ever seen or heard, the trainer "encourages" you with meaningless comments that have little relation to what you're doing. But I've turned them off.

Bottom line, I paid £55 pre-order for it and I'm happy with it. It's got me exercising and I feel like I've progressed in only a couple of weeks. The trainer comments and the ridiculous long pauses between menus and when uploading to the server (just bloody do it in the background during an exercise!) are really irritating, but the exercising is worth it.

Oh, and I made an Exercise Group over on AV Forums, anyone can join, group is AVForums and password avfea, join in and share your progress!
#28
Do you need to use a Balance Board with this?

Bought this today instore (Tesco) Northampton for £49.00.

Heart rate monitor and sensors work flawlessly so far (albeit only done first session).

Very impressed
