I was quite interested in PSVR, pre-ordered one the first day it went up for order on Amazon. Cancelled it last week because aside from Resident Evil 7, there didn't really seem to be any games with any substance to them that interest me, more just short experiences which seem more like tech demos. This game fits into that category, saw the gameplay demo at E3, and it looks pretty pants....

I cancelled mine last week as well and have decided to go with an Oculus. I have a feeling that the console VR experience is not going to be a satisfying one.
Apparently the Scorpio will work with the Oculus next year as well so that seems the best option.

The reveal of it at E3 was very poor. From what they showcased it's no where near a £30+ game. Just awful

Huh? This looks like a demo lol. Is there even enough content to charge full price?

after watching the demo at the conferences I can imagine getting bored of this in a week Max. get a few mates round once. have a few games. never open again. seems like the best price if you say so, so won't be voting cold but still, the game doesn't seem great.

I mean who's gunna have 4 headsets between mates anyway.

I'm going to sit out VR until maybe 2018 (lateish 2017 if something really interests me). I bought the PS4, Xbox one and Wii U Day one... and was bored waiting months for decent games after blowing through the launch games on each system. Looking at the recent Steam hardware survey regarding VR usage (which, yes, may not be 100% accurate or representative of how popular VR usage is), it seems to be a common problem. I think I'm done with the mentality of needing the newest shiniest toy on day one. I work full time these days so just don't have the time to game that I used to, as well as preferring reading in my spare time these days. Those two points alone have meant I've got a huge pile of stuff I've bought and still need to play. I think I can keep myself occupied long enough to see how VR affects and is affected by the industry.

But damn, won't lie, still bloody keen to fly an X-Wing in VR with Battlefront. Not £350 worth of keen right enough.
