Ideal for Christmas (well, with the best intentions anyway!), Sainsbury's have Eaglecrest Chardonnay at £2 a bottle to clear. Buy 6 bottles and get 5% off = £11.40

I bought six last night and there was still some instore today when I went in again.

They also have their own Limited Release at £2.50 a bottle, and you can apply the same 5% discount to that when you buy six.

I would not trust wine at this price. It's cheaper than water. Haven't voted.

It is indeed that wine, and I'd class it as average as a wine, but excellent for the price...It's got a nice balanced taste, could be a little drier, but it certainly isn't of the same weak taste that some people are expecting it to be.

The taste factor is irrelevant at this price. A couple of glasses and it matters not. Voted hot

I sent my hubby to get some at sainsburys selly oak birmingham,he was charged £3.99 a bottle, phoned and explained about the deal at crewe and they could not understand the price, said it should be everywhere, but its not, would not have purchased if i had known.

in leiu of the fact that another two stores have been charging full price, I'll expire this as I don't want anyone else paying full price.

Would be interested to know if anyone else has success though.
