If it's been painted you will need to score the paint first.

Ah yes, our beloved woodchip. I've often wondered why NASA haven't used woodchip wallpaper on the outside of their space shuttles as opposed to those tiles that used to fall off on re-entry to the atmosphere. Let's face it. IT'S NIGH ON IMPOSSIBLE TO GET WOODCHIP OFF!

You can make yourself your own hardwood steamer, by feeding the hose into a long varnished sealed plwood box. Bend ash, oak, beech into curves and twistst with a few g-clamps and a former..

I spent a whole weekend getting woodchip off, then my brother in law used plaster board to cover up the entire ceiling anyway! :-(

have used one of these on woodchip and while it doesn't make the job easy it does save a lot of effort. You need to score the woodchip and you will get a lot of water to mop up.

I also used mine to help lift old floor tiles (not ceramic, linoleum?), it worked much better than other methods.

Paid about 40 pounds for mine (with a smaller plate too) years ago and thought it was worth that for saving what was left of my sanity and hair. At this price a real bargain.

Sainsbury's Mega Store Colchester told me they have never sold them.

use without the wallpaper plate and you can use these to steam away discoloured grout where even bleachy cleaners struggle. did it on my bathroom tiles which had discoloured grouting and worked a treat.

I use mine to defrost my fridge remove the end as comment above and steam away takes 45 mins tops:thumbsup:

Found this product perfect for Woodchip (not giving it heat as it is not available/expired)
1. remember to score the paper first
2. leave on for about 30seconds and use a sharp scrapper (or large scalpal)

Best way to stick any wallpaper back up is use paste mixed in with pva glue (~1%)
