A pair of srtippers for £8.50
hot deal?
Thanks for posting the deal. Steam strippers do make life a lot easier and you make less mess of the wall......

I've added a pic - got any details of what particular model?
Typical I needed one of these a week ago just for one wall but now I am nursing blisters. Will have a nosey though tomorrow in my local as I may need one sooner or later for somewhere else. Heat added
Bargain payed £25.00 last year at focus for this and 25 quid was an absolute bargain anyway for the time and effort spent saving in stripping the wallpaper hot deal of the year in my book

Asda Walsgrave.
If your plaster is cracked these do a great job of removing that from the wall as well!
Good deal but none in stock in Asda stores in Liscard and Arrowe Park, Wirral.

cheers for heads up ;) as they are my two local stores and was going to go later , you saved me a trip now :D
Great price but when I tried one on my dry lined walls it started taking the plaster off the plasterboard too - beware!

These are excellent for using to defrost the freezer. Half and hour, job done.
I borrowed one of these to do some decorating and ended up having to replaster the whole wall.seeing the comments here make me wonder if this could have been avoided by using the dry method.Good price but how damaging are they?

It will only crack the plaster if you hold it on to long !
Paid a lot more than this for a second hand one about 15 years ago, heat added.

Funny this should come up, I'm just redecorating a room at the mo!
Used one of these as I have in the past for 2 walls, then remembered why I stopped using them!!

They're useless, create more work than exists, as to get the wallpaper off, (if it's solidly on, if not why are you using one?!) you have to hold it down for quite a few seconds, melting the coating behind the paper, and removing and making damp the plasterboard!

AVOID! This does not speed things up, it makes more work! That's why professional decorators don't use them!
Anyone got an SKU so I can ring my store. personally my experience with steamers is they save a lot of time and if you are good with them the walls can be in excellent condition afterwards

EDIT: Rank the store and gave them the description and they said they definitely are not selling them at Barrow in Furness
